Good times, it was nice meeting everyone... hopefully next year I can be there for more than just a day, and actually bring a truck to hit the trails with!

Gustavo is pretty shady, so it wouldn't surprise me if his rig was stolen anyway. Plus he has another Defenders worth of Equip gear under his truck. Probably all stolen too!

Great event! Good seeing everyone and meeting many for the first time. If only I could figure out how to see more than 10% of the people there though

Had a great time. So much so that as usual I didn't take any pictures. Here are the 3 I took with my cell phone. That's Matt's awesome 109" and Robbie on the first hole on 1D Friday.

On Sunday afternoon, Dave and Loic helped me take my trailer on some trials, and Loic took a bunch of pictures for me there though:

http://lhsw.com/gallery/rover_trailer_trials

As far as getting stuck goes, you chumps just need to learn how to drive! Just kidding. I got lucky on 1D on Friday and got plenty stuck all weekend long. For the mud holes I think you want to be 2nd or 3rd in the group. Being first means you learn the right line the hard way (usually getting stuck). After that you get to benefit from watching those ahead of you, but by the tail end you could be paying the price for the rigs in front of you tearing up the mud hole. but in general the mud holes got progressively worse all weekend.

I took some video on the hero cam, and will try get it up later this week.

Yeah it was Rob. Hopefully he'll let us know what happened. I heard no-one was injured so thats good. I ran the hill 3 times and I'm not sure how he managed to endo it since on my first attempt I even had to back down to the first ledge twice before making it and never felt in jeopardy.

Thanks to Doug for pulling me out of the mud hole! I learned to never go first again. Get the wrong line, get pulled out and watch everyone else learn from your line.

It's so funny the common theme in all the pics: MUD!

Mike's pictures show me going up it starting here

http://picasaweb.google.com/mjekogia...22428082007186

As usual the pictures don't convey the steepness though

Is that the steeper or less steep exit from 3 amigos?

That's the big steep one but the pics don't do it justice. Looking at the pics you wonder what the big deal is.

It was pretty steep at the top - try these

There was also a wicked mudhole on 4E that nobody made it through without winching.

Holy crap, that 2nd to last picture looks scary - at that's not even the steep part!

BTW, we got through the first part of 4E with the right line, but I doubt anyone made it through the end without winching. I think going down that drop on 4E was the most "pucker" I've ever felt though.

Charles - if your MAR number was 039 I can send you some high-res shots of your truck coming up the hill
Luke wound up a bit off-line after his aerial acobatics (these things don't steer too well with the front wheels in the air)
