i thought the crossing was just the mud buggy trail through the swamp. didn't realize there was an actual trail with a river crossing involved. oh well, next year i guess.

I think that trail was off to the left of the bridge that took you from the 4 trails side to the 2 trails side (field inbetween). It was taped off on Sunday morning so my guess was maybe it wasn't a trail they wanted people on. Looks like it got pretty tore up. I would have loved to do it though and maybe wash off some of the mud!

Wasn't the left turn off Dan Rao's Crossing? I mean coming down from the Gravel Road, coming in right to Dan's left to trail and water crossing.

Maybe I am confussed

It could be me confused but I thought if you took the left there it just ran parallel to the gravel road for a bit and then kicked you back out onto the gravel road. I think this was elsewhere - where the road crossed a small bridge with overhanging trees.

We took that trail, took us up to 4E, and on the way to 4E, instead of left you continue right will end up on the water crossing and the remote primitive camping . ( on the right towards the bottom )

But then again, once out of that area everything look similar

Again, I could be confussed

I hate mud

I hate mud.

Against better judgement I decided to just start hosing down the truck in my driveway as I haven't had time to get to the self-serve car wash and this weekend is looking like I won't be able to make it then either.

I got most of the big chunks off the front, didn't do more than a light spray on the back to soften it up.

Did I mention I hate mud?

I know, I went by to say hi on Sunday when I figured out it was you (the lack of POE top threw me off, but then I looked at the number on the back) but you were not around.

x2 this weekend..... Luckily, the driveway is graded! Still had to shovel a 10 gal bucket of muck so I pressure wash it after cleaning the D90.... It definitely gets everywhere.

This mud is fairly easy to remove (sandy?), so I'm not going to complain too much about it, but it splashes everywhere when you powerwash it.

On my list of todo's: find a close-by pressure wash place so I don't have to do this too often!

I did say hi to you. As far as the kielbasa, Dom brought Polish sausage from the polish store near him so we were set.

That was damn good ! Thanks for sharing. Hope Dom finds the residency he wants soon.

JackW great pictures. Looks as though you must have walked the entire camping area taking pictures while everyone was still asleep.
