Yeah, Doug, you didn't get airborne on that thing at all. You took the slow approach which was a little different from how you were going earlier up on Goat Hill

That Southdown front skid imprint was courtesy of Mr. Janney when he thought that he would just try to go straight through the wall rather than over it.

It was nice meeting you that day and had a good run with you.

that was a great time. Knocked some teeth off the rear 4.75 that is a horrible noise.

Here are my photos. Some overlap between mine and Paul's with some of Ron's antics... they were well documented!

Adam,

Good to meet you this year as well. In fact you were the first person I saw when we arrived to check the girls in @ Fork Union.
On page two of your pictures MAR 25 is my brother Cabell's super clean 2a with galv frame, parabolics, millitary shakles, 255/85 mtrs etc.

That truck went every where my 90 did- less the rooster tails of course

Lobster/Rob- thanks for trying to pull me out of that mud hole on the east rover trail. Sure was a scary sound when that 20000 lb strap snapped (backed the spectators up quick). I winched myself out, turned around and blew the winch motor on my m8000 trying to get Jimmy Forehand out. Great times-sorry to hear about your diff.

Thanks for sharing.

Sorry about that Doug. I hope you get that winch working again. I had a great time. Your 90 is looking good. It gave me that Defender fever again.

Doug, great to meet you as well! You arrived at the motel just after us... the office was closed so we opened up the camp chairs and had a cigar while waiting. It was cool to see your truck reconstructed... you did a nice job! See you at the next one.

CVC's version worked, (thanks). Ron, did the one with you standing in the hole with the truck in the background come out?

There was nothing wrong with Alberto's driving in that viddy. He was hitting that ckimb with mild or moderate speed at best. Problem was the stock LR rear links fold with big tires! He bought some Equipes after that incident.

Oh, and I sold him a used rear driveshaft...;-)
