I'll be there with my roll-over project, three colors of black, 94 stationwagon. Kids want to camp but I reserved a room @ the Fork Union Motor Lodge. Looks like it will be a dry this year for a change. So maybe we'll do both-nice to be able shower after drinking & winching till the wee hours of the morning.

Ron bring the diff protector and we'll put it on @ MAR.

I'll be bringing some d90 body panels in case folks get jiggy with tree's. Have the passenger side of the tub as well as the rear panel for the pass side and two front passenger side outer wings 1 nas, the other is off a td5.
Probably bring some stock axle shafts too-seems like someone snaps one every year.

We will head down mid afternoon Thursday after the kids get out of school in NVa. If anyone wants to caravan-please ring my cell 4102004386. I go out I66w and take 29s to rt 15s (ie the scenic route) as opposed to the generic I95s to I64w.

High Dollar Hill here we come -in Rons truck of course.

Now thats the way to do the hard stuff. The best off road truck I ever used belonged to Enterprise rental car. "Yes Mandi this damage did happen on a country road"

Ya'll have fun. I'll be working a beer festival this year instead of playing in the mud.

I'm going to have to punt this year. I was planning on going for just under 24 hours, but my truck has a few gremlins which seem to be appearing on a more regular basis, and it's just not worth the risk of getting stranded.

Have fun, and watch out for Jimmy on the trails

The thing is I have another commitment Friday thru Sunday (camping trip with family and friends). If I had all weekend I'd try make the trip in my own rig for sure.

MAR Weather

I just checked the 10 day for Charlottesville,Va. (closest population ctr)

Thu. 87/65 mostly cloudy
Fri. 83/63 few showers
Sat. 82/63 mostly sunny
Sun. 85/62 partly cloudy

A couple of showers to keep the dust down Friday, great temps for camping.

Bremo Bluff, VA is the closest city that shows up on forecasts.. http://www.weather.com/outlook/recre...m=search_10day is the url to the 10 day forecast.. they changed it from earlier today, they called for rain thu/fri/sat .. now it just looks like some showers on Friday.. I dont trust it though, last year it was forecasted to be sunny and nice up until the time I started heading down there.
