You can drop Randy's in but you will have to live w/o the rear lockers. If you decide to trailer the 90 and install the 3rd at MAR you can stop by our camp (PR camp) and use our generator and impact gun. I can swap the 3rd in about 20 minutes.

Awesome! To be clear Jimmy, swapping the 3rd is a quick and easy temporary fix. Once you have the old one out you can determine how to fix and do it at your leisure, and put it back in later when done. You then have a spare third, or can resell it. I have a broken one I'll rebuild with an ARB one of these days.

I just spoke to Jaime Crusellas and he is bringing down an extra 3rd just in case. Randy should bring his down also since I have a feeling I'm gonna need one (my shoes just got bigger).

I did mine about a month ago by myself. If you need help just stop by our camp and I'll give you a hand.

The only problem I had with mine (95 DI) is that I got a 97 DI TC and it had the short spline shaft so I had to order one from AB. I'm just telling you this so that you make sure you get the right TC.

Ron, I just did mine recently when replacing the tranny - it's not that bad. I have a jack stands and little tranny jack I could bring - that and a piece of plywood (so the tranny jack can roll smoothly) should make it pretty easy to get it in place. Just let me know if you need me to bring them. I could probably lend a hand too depending on when you will be doing it (gotta clear it w/ the boss) and it should go pretty quickly.

Ron i would be leaving after work thursday night, bout 6pm.
if mike heads south from where he is i could give him and his dad a lift home sunday

Follow-up Post:

Just been talking to a tec whose a so called expert on T/C ect, he tells me when tightening the flange nut more often than not it will jump the last thread so when you come to undo it cross threads its self. hes just lent me some of his tools (which are alot bigger than mine) so will give it another try tonight. then drive it till it drops the weekend. if there is gonna be spare diffs ect and iv'e got spare half shafts i should be ok

I'm comming don't you worry. I just have to sort out a steering problem now. A really low speeds the front wheels are wobbeling on occasion as well as getting a baging noise when I turn. I think i bent track rod again when I did my impersonation of Jimmy at rausch creek. Even if i don't fix it thursday morning before trevor and crew get here I'll hitch a ride down with him.

I borrowed a 2ft pipe wrench to hold the flange and a 2ft bar, slowly got tighter, thought i would give it one last pull and stripped the thread completely. Back to quare one (front wheel drive)

I'm going but not bringing my truck. I had queer sounds before i did my diff oil seal and i dont want to fix that down thre only to find out something else is wrong. Gonna be towing Rons down and trash his instead, he's gonna supply the whisky and guinness althought it would have been cheaper to rent his own tow truck
