Weather is supposed to be nice this weekend and I was curious to see if anyone is interested in hitting the trail either sat or sunday?

It was clear last weekend with just a couple of ice spots. By Sat. it should be perfect.

If I was able to throw a rear point on my 90 by this weekend I would be game. However, I haven't even ordered one yet.

I bet it'll be a very nice weekend for it though! I encourage you guys to get out there!

I have a receiver hitch recovery point if you need one, cheap.

I removed my rear step bumper and painted my rear crossmember.

Now I haven't put a receiver hitch on yet.

I'm sure you could get by without a rear point. U still have the factory tie down points?

Hi
I'm pretty new to this forum but I would be interested in future offroad trips if you wouldn't mind wheeling with a fj cruiser.
I can't do this weekend, but in the future, I might be able to swing it.
I've been lurking in search of a D90 to play with in the future, but I haven't found one yet
My wife and I own a LR3, but it's not set for real offroading. My fj is pretty capable

Is this place Ma Bell on Long Island or around NY or is this in Massachusetts?

I am a regular on fj forums going by the name AmityFJ

You're probably right. I've done Ma Bell when I still had my stocker side steps on. Wasn't pretty, but I made progress. Haven't been back since.

Thanks for the info. BTW I think I've seen your name on expedition portal.

Would definately like to check out this place sometime this spring or summer.

Been going to Rausch Creek and looking for something different/closer to Long Island

Well I think I am planning on going around 10 or 11 am. It's about 150 mile drive for me.. I would prefer not to go alone...

I did. No problems at all! It was really wet though. I ran into some guys in the parking lot who I ended up running the trail with. One of them flipped their truck earlier in the day and were doing some repairs before going back on the trail. They were all Jeep guys. Really nice though. I was surprised at the trail, Had a couple spots that were pretty difficult in my opinion. Do you ever feel sometimes that you are the weak link in a group of trucks when you are the only guy that cares about the body panels? I opted for the winch when the other guys opted for a 200 foot running start. One guy put a rock into the underbelly of his TJ so hard se busted a motor mount and jammed the fan into the shroud. Did they stop? nope.. out came the sazall and no more shroud.

Yep, some of the bypasses are getting hard there too. Thats whats great about it though, there are so many lines from damage free to flip over backwards.

Actually funny you should say that about the bypasses, the only place i had to use the winch was on a bypass.
