Hi Oliver,

Yeah, Cliffhanger was a mad house of bikes on Fri. They all kept stopping to watch us.

Didn’t know you were up there. Saw Dan in the buggy on Hells Revenge and he said that Timmy was up but I didn't run into him.

Gotcha. If you did Hells Revenge Fri morning with them then we were in front of you stuck behind the massive conga line of heeps. We bailed on Hells Gate because of the traffic and just followed the loop out then went and ran Cliffhanger after lunch. Didn't get up there until late Wed and ran Poison Spider Thurs and Golden Spike Sat.

Sad I had to miss it. Been going to the rally since Crested Butte in the 90's Date change screwed me. In for next year for sure. Just hoping dates at least are announced soon so I can block it off. I book up a year in advance often. Will be looking for an announcement. Looks like you all had fun.

Dates aren't set in stone yet, but the president said Ouray in July/August time frame if they can find a facility large enough there and deconflict dates with all the other groups that use Ouray.

So this was my first real event and I thought it was pretty good…yes the vendors were sparse and not much in the way of eye candy “new stuff to buy”, there were good people, good food and plenty to drink. I only wheeled Fins and Things there were a few obstacle inclines that I had not done before that broke up the yawning…but I didn’t go to bang up the D90 either. I had a problem with my low range that was resolved on the first day but not in time to really salvage the day. I thought it was a decent time and a big thank you to everyone I met.

The photos on this link (photobucket.com/moabrally2012) are a mix of everything. Lots of rover porn, especially my truck. I don’t think I have ever taken so many photos of my truck. That’s John Casey wheeling my truck for a bit. He has a disco and really wants a 90. Again thanks to everyone who came and to the Scotsman… I hope you made it to back to Manitoba alright!!

See you all next year if not before

It pulls it very well. The suspension settings matter. I took the good camera this time.
