Dude call Jeff Barnes at Barnes auto transport. He is an owner operator that deals in Defenders all day long. You might just catch him on his way out here since his specialty is coast to coast. He brought along my spare set of beadlocks with 36s on them and it wasnt an issue.

bloody company specified shippers... actually company specified EVERYTHING... I have to use their shippers, their real estate agents, their bank... and they tie a lot of money and benefits to using them so you kind of have to unless you're willing to just eat it...

(I thought the lady on the phone was going to blow a gasket when I told them how tall Nola is)

Well thanks John... now I'm offended...

The only reason I left the mountains and proximity to Moab was to hang out with you guys

and the digs will continue until you and Brian have some trail scars at least on your diff guards! I would like to start a Poseur Poll. I see so many lifted rigs with winches that have clearly never been used and big meaty tires out here Im just wondering. Which owners are worse for making their trucks look offroad ready but never leave pavement?

A. H2s
B. Jeeps
C. Broncos
D. FJs
E D90s

I have a D90 that already looks like its been beat up off road that could be perfect to beat up some more. I will trade for your 110. I have no extra cash, bmw's or puppies to offer.

Putting on a winch is a bit much (actually completely stupid of you're not going to use it) but honestly, especially with the top off I love driving my D90. If I never took it offroad I'd still love it, it's fun and easy to drive tall enough that I can see around, skinny enough that it's easy to park and get in and out of things, it looks kind of cool and is relatively rare and unique, in the configuration I have it in it holds 7 passengers so I can bring the soccer team or the youth group or whatever I need without a big old van... and with the tdi it gets pretty good gas mileage too...

I happen to also like offroading and the fact that I can beat on my Defender is a serious bonus for me... but I guess I can understand those that don't want too but still like Defenders... of course I'm left feeling that there is all kinds of wasted potential there but I figure they're just keeping the spare parts coming for me

How many of the 500 NAS 110s do you think are currently wheeled even once/year...

Poll answer:

B- Jeeps... mostly because there are more of them but the H2s would be a close second as they aren't really even built to go offroad (unlike the H1)

I told you, I only walk. Offroading is for rednecks. No one should ever take a Rover offroad either. They are meant for pimpin'. bling bling. In my case, I can't pimp in it either because they don't touch the road. Don't be a hater, john.

Exactly! I was next to a yellow one that looked just like that at a light this morning. Had the huge blingy 22s and mud tires with a winch and light bar with shiny new hella HIDs and it was obvious this thing never left payment. He gave me a big thumbs up and all I could think was F..U you poseur.
