Ice braking in Pines

It was freezing and the water level was the highest I've ever seen down there! Five trucks three Discos and two Defenders battled three inch ice and four foot water. We came in before midnight and got home 7am. Airing up was not fun!!!

LOL and the whole thing wasn't my idea!

Here is a short video. All I have to say is that Cristina's Defender gave the Pines hell last night. Her unmodified truck was driven by Ben Smith and her son Pedro and they drove it like they stole it!

Look at the photo of Dan on the Disco bonnet. Friends are the ones that ride on then bonnet of a Disco 200 feet out along a lake that is 2 feet deep in subfreezing temps with the slim hope of not sliding off e bonnet and into the water to grab the tow strap that was pre-attached to the D90 so that you can get pulled back to try again. Thanks Dan!

LOL..Dan had no choice, Cristina was standing right next to him. She would have thrown him in to save her truck. Lucky for me, I was holding the camera

Here's the video of that crossing

We will Don. A lot of the times its very last minute and takes about 5 phone calls and next thing you know you are in Pines at 12am. Other times its a mass email. Shoot us your email so we have it for future random Pine runs.

Sounds good - I'll send an email over to ya. I can't promise I can get out on every run but sometime last minute stuff works really well for me.
