Thats is the third request for cheese curds. WTF? Guess I will have to try it...I might like it. Will have a cooler if you want. We are going to be bringing a ton of cheese and brats (homemade).

Ha, I just assumed you were from up there since you are heading back. My fiancee is from N. WI up by Superior so I am sensitized to all things cheese curd, brats, Leiney's, Packers, etc....

Cheese curds are good stuff and well worth bringing back; I'd happily come grab them from you and make 1 Packer fan very happy since she's stuck in Va.

I once ate a pound of curds in one sitting at the Green Bay Airport (such as it is) waiting several hours for wx delays to clear my flight out. I'm not sure I've ever been in as much intestinal distress as I was on that flight.

@ Abrooks.....I bet. Thats an issue waiting to happen...lol.
@RayG.....n/p. If there is a brand or flavor...let me know. I am from NE Ohio, and one side of the family moved up there....hence the trip. Even tho I take ALOT of crap from that part of the family (also cheese heads) being a Steelers fan....I would be happy to bring some back.
We will be back in Orange on Monday afternoon, and will arrange a place to meet up.

Saw this sign when clearing TSA at MKE. Try to find this at another airport.

Looks like I will have the corner on the "cheese curds" market. Just got a request for 2 lbs of "squeeky curds". Quick....somebody buy up all the antacids in the area!

There is the mars cheese castle of of i94 south of Milwaukee and near the Kenosha exits. Don't know what way you are going. Or in my opinion there is a cheese shop in Lena, WI that has the best. You're probably not going up 41 to get to Superior.
Get something on the way home and keep them real cold. You don't want to loose the squeak!

I was born and lived in the U.P. and as well lived in WI, IL, and IN.

The squeaky cheese rules, many thanks Rick!

Depending on where you are going you can visit the shrine of all things fantastic in large military/special purpose vehicles (Oshkosh...bring me back an MATV!) or the beef jerky outlet up by where Jack Links comes from.

Thanks for the info. I am taking my fridge and the new "Exstreem" cooler I just got. My cousin has a place to get some dry ice, so it all should be good. Lord forbid we loose our squeek! All tho...I would notice it in the P38...unlike my Disco.

------ Follow up post added July 24th, 2012 10:37 AM ------

We are going to Waukesha. Am searching now for all the sights. Now...about that MATV. We need to talk...lol..

Reconfirming my desire for at least one, if not two, appropriate packages of squeaky cheese. They won't last long around my house but that is likely for the best.

Vern's is the best.

Try some of the 7 year aged white cheddar:
