My only issue is that my truck doesn't fit in the garage @ 4ps, though I can just take the other car, I suppose. Charles, Irelands 4 provinces is in Falls Church on Main Street (Rte. 7) at the main intersection in the city of Falls church (can't remember the cross street off-hand)

Jay's is fine with me, in that case. The outdoor area is covered, and a little rain will just get us ready for the MAR again this year.

I believe the rule is" "If your Rover is runnin', you better bring it!"

Jay's works... I do like the parking better at Jay's even more so now that I'm not going to be allowed to take the Ferrari (aka mini van) since the wife will have it and I know my truck won't fit under the stupid bar that is at the 4's upper garage.. No roof on the garage but, they needed a bar there for a height restriction.. Why? I swear I get the feeling that people build things like that just to be a PITA to every one else.

Jay's it is then... I'll try to be there by 4 so I can get an early start.. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Ok, got it. Leave the exotic sports car at home, and bring the rover. Splendid.

How late will you guys be there? I doubt I can make it down before 6:30.

It's doubtful I'll get there until 6:30 either. Eric, I'll try and bring some legitimate smokes as well, I owe you a few!

I think Jays qualifies as the anti-Pentagon Row. It's the last bastian of all things dive bar in Arlington -- yuppies are scared of it.

You don't owe me anything but, I'm certainly not one to turn down a smoke...

Strange request - if anyone has some high grade scrap steel lying around that meets the following description, please bring it to Jays.

piece of stock that I can make 2 bars out of, about 3" long, 1-1.1/4" wide and about 3/8 thick. Just needs to be strong so my kids are safe.

I need to make extenders for my rear seat belts. I have replaced my old belts with a set from a disco and they are shorter than the defender. So if you retract the belt all the way (takes about 2 minutes with my kids) it gets in that mode that will only rachet back in, but not reel out again until fully retracted. Given that they are shorter, they cannot get to that fully retracted position so i end up having to undo the top mount. A 3" extension mounted at the top will cure it.

thanks
charles

Charles, I've got some scrap lying around, though for the life of me I can't picture what you're looking for. Does it need to be tube?

No, flat steel. The best way I can describe it would be that it would look just like an ordinary school ruler in shape, just made out of steel and shorter. Approx 3x1.25x3/8" will be the final dimensions and I'll drill two holes in it (one on each end) and round off the corners/edges.
