Trey and I will roll tomorrow morning in his 110. Should be there early afternoon. Cabell is bringing his whole family and traveling in his Volvo xc90 and will arrive Friday.

I'll be there mid-morning tomorrow and securing the spot for my possy in the LR area, which Roseanne has placed adjacent to the LR course apparently. I am helping staff the day pass booth from 1-4pm tomorrow, if anyone needs info on the LR camping area when they come in or any coordination assistance.

Saturday Arrival

I was able to get in a last minute flight on Friday night. Can someone (Abe, Shayne) save me a spot (for a rental). Assuming Atlanta is not all screwed up should be there early Saturday morning.

Anyone needs anything let me know. I have 2 exhaust pipes for checked baggage so far.

Cool. See you there Stephen. Better get a good rental, the site says "overland vehicles only in the camping area". Gotta say that cracked me up.

That is a bit of a stretch - this 1966 Buick Electra was as much of an overland vehicle as almost anything that will show up at the Expo. It covered over 5000 miles from Atlanta to the Panama Canal Zone in 1974. Much of the Pan-American Highway was barely paved and many spots were dirt road at that time. It forded at least eight streams and rivers where the bridges were still under construction south of Oaxaca. It's only "overlanding" accessory was a home built roof rack to carry extra fuel, water and a spare tire. It lost a a water pump in Texas, brakes in Guatemala, a u-joint in Costa Rica but it made it to Panama carrying five of us. It was "donated" to the government of Panama - specifically a Major Noriega (yes that Noriega).

The ultimate "Overlanding" Buick posing in front of some six foot tall cotton plants and a volcano in Nicaraugua.
