I stand corrected....the 'Dro is riding down with Lavendar...a detail he shared with me at Conclave and in my drunken stupor one day/night/moment it was lost on me

If anyone is going to Expo with the intention of trail riding, you will be disappointed. EXPO is all about learning overland skills, mingling with experience overlanders, truck modifications and vendor/product reviews. It is not a big 4WD trail riding event.

So unlike other events - I will not be cooking. No fires, no charcoal and no open flames other than from gas/propane delivered aperati...bugger. Sorry guys.

Good news is the trailer will be a lot lighter!! And they have a plethora of vendors with food we can buy.

Bummer - no campfires to circle up around - oh well.

Looks like a chance of rain over that weekend too - so we need to plan for tarps over/btw trucks so we can huddle

Got your back Craig.......got a lp pit to huddle around, and an awing and a ez up on the trailer. I plan on doing some cooking on Thursday pm, and picked up a second coffee maker. Cosmo is determined to burn up 10 lbs of bacon some how, and maybe we could do some pancakes with it.
Other than that.......dunno...........maybe a steak and some shrooms......and if you like sausage gravy and biscuits...I got that covered.......

Other than dump cake in dutch ovens I always cook over propane anyway. Hopefully my brother will replace the 20lb bottle he walked off with

Taylor Farm is very strict about the fires...funnily enough their argument is that the sparks from fires has an opportunity to light grasses on fire around the farm. OK VALID ENOUGH..... BUT....Taylor Farm is providing 3 large bonfire/firepit sites - I guess what they burn doesn't cause sparks

Oh well - rules is rules.

Just a way to make people buy food from the vendors.

That's it, I have had enough, I am not going to the expo as I don't have any beagles or adventure pants. I feel like I would stick out like a sore thumb.

That's pretty damn likely regardless of venue dude.

Oh well - rules is rules.
It takes years to get a good stand of grass growing in a field. Allowing hundreds of open fires on the ground will have it looking like the surface of the moon Monday after everyone leaves.
