Ok, well who would want to hit the trails with some meatheads, then?

I've got a couple of friend (LR3, Raptor, and Rubicon owners) who wanted to do something "manly". What could be more manly than wheeling with Defenders, I say! I'm not sure when or where, but it'd be nice to have some of you along. Perhaps GWNF or PA.

Does anyone want to wheel?

You guys are hilarious. You're sounding more like a bunch of Freelander owners than D-90 owners. ...although inviting dudes in kilts scares me a bit, to be honest. lol

I always thought crossfit was more associated with freelanders and lr2s than Defenders

Everyone has to pick their wheelin battles when it comes to family so as to not upset the delicate balance of being allowed to buy spares and the like...and for the record Kilts are bad ass...lol.

Personally, as a kilt owning and occasionally wearing one in public. I am looking for a good rack to hold my caber on my soft top. Most of the racks I've seen buckle under a 6' piece of telephone pole. That and my Braemar Stone keeps rolling around in the back denting everything.

I just laughed wayyy too hard at that bro. So true though, my workout for years has been more or less CrossFit lifts but with correct and safe form. We joke that cross fitters workout till they get injured and a lot of them get injured.

Crossfit has it's pros/cons just like any fitness program, but I think this article says it best. It gives a good bashing of it, while pointing out what it has done for fitness in general.

I hear that... my old roommate had gotten in great shape from crossfit, 3 weeks ago he ruptured his achilles during one of their "box jumps" or whatever. Sound like tons of people get injured doing crossfit

I don't belong to a "Crossfit" gym, but I do incorporate some Crossfit-type excersizes into my routine. Done properly and in moderation the premise of Crossfit is great. However, people tend to get a little overzealous (especially 35+ year olds who used to be athletes) thinking they can go into this with both guns blazing. I can absolutely see how injuries (bad ones) are inevitable.

Most people don't have the core strength or muscle memory to properly make it through a crossfit routine without flirting with injury.

To be fair to Crossfit, I've known plenty of 40+ year old arm-chair quarterbacks that blow up a hammy or achilles playing pick-up hoop at the local gym, so why shit on Crossfit. It's up to the participant to know when they are pushing the limit. Well, maybe the instructors shoulder some of the blame as well, but that's a different argument (inexperienced trainers).

THat said, I'd never mock anyone attempting to get off their ass and improve their fitness (no matter what the method) because we (US Citizens) are far too lazy and sedentary as a group.
