Conclave registration is now open

With great pleasure we would like to announce that registration for Conclave 2012 is now open!
Conclave 2012 will have some of the best off road trails available on the East Coast, prizes, vendors, and club supported activities. This is the do not miss event of 2012.

Will you be there?

Many people have asked us "What makes The Conclave different?"
Well, we have a few answers for that, and today's answer is:
The Cove.
The Cove is arguably one the best places to off-road your Land Rover on the East Coast.
The Cove boasts 6000 acres with over 100 trails ranging from bone stock Freelander up to custom buggy .
The Cove has bathrooms and bath houses.
The Cove has multiple campsites and a reserved area just for families.
These few things alone should be enough for anyone wanting to get out and use their Rover to attend The Conclave.

And there's more.....
Will you be there?

We are thinking about coming up for this event but what happended to the MAR event? Is this part of MAR or an anti MAR type event. I'm not up of the VA club details so could someone please fill me in. Seems like a good excuse to visit my home town.

ROAV teamed up with Conclave for this event. This year's MAR is Conclave.

And yes, you need to come so you can prove you actually exist.

Thanks for the reply. I need to get up that way and this is a good excuse and I am happy to know that is a combined event as it would be hard to supprt an event that works against a well established club. We'll look at the sechedule and see what it holds. Who is handling vendor stuff?

It should come as no surprise to anyone in the Land Rover community that Lucky8 www.Lucky8llc.com has committed a tremendous amount gear for Conclave.
In case you just bought a Rover or have been living under a rock, Lucky8 is your one stop source for anything Land Rover. If you are looking for a lift kit, call Lucky8. If it's a new winch you require, call Lucky8. If your truck has succumbed to the coolant gods and you need a head gasket kit, which is inevitable, call Lucky8. You see where we are going with this?

Here is a partial list of prizes that Lucky8 has donated for you to win:

-Two 100' synthetic winch lines
-Two 20' Kinetic straps
-Soft shackle and Soft shackle kits
-D1 RRC D90 5" spring kit
-D2 5" spring Kit
-RTE 3" spring kit
-Terrafirma 2" spring kit.
-ARP head gasket stud kit

Stay tuned for more to come as we get closer to the event.

Without the support of sponsors, the Conclave would not possible.

Even if you are not planning to attend, please take the time to send a quick thank you email to

Sales@lucky8llc.com
For their support of the Conclave.

If the sponsors go away, unfortunately so will the events. That is a very somber yet realistic thought.

Please take the 3 seconds and send the email.

MORE sponsor announcements to come.

I remember all the times we complained about registration not been open early enough, well The Conclave 2012 has been opened for a while but I don't see the rush of those demanding this to be open 3 mo in advance, could it be due to summer vacations ?

Could it be the economy?

Could it be uncertainty of the weather?

Or is it that you need re-assurance that The Conclave 2012 it is going to be "THE " East Coast Land Rover event of the year, because if it is that, don't waste your time and register.

Remember, we will have Cut Off dates in early September as we need to confirm attendance / head count for our on site Vendors.

Also , those interested in becoming a sponsor, feel free to contact myself.

They have a TON of trails there. My first wheeling EVER was there, and the first day we were behind stock Discovery IIs and an LR3 and maybe even a newer Range Rover. We were on trails with little to no rocks, mostly just roots and stuff like that, mostly just fun "wheeling" through the woods up and down some hills. You'd have a great time. Great camping, too.

In that case, follow me. I'm not interested in damaging my truck either, just want the opportunity to get out on the trails with like minded folks and spend a weekend with my son in the navigator seat. Though I suspect he will do some driving as well.

The Cove has all range of trails, a vast majority are easy to medium, with a few harder trails.

I will lead a group of stock to very mildly modified Trucks like I did at ROAV's Halloween event, similar to what Josh is talking about.. those trail rides will be identified as " Goose's Tour ".

We did not have any carnage except one stock disco that backed into a tree because did not see it while making a K turn on it's own.

Plenty of fun without going Extreme....

Go ahead and Register.. we will have loads of fun

Lets help out all that have volunteered their time to make this event a reality. Spend the few minutes necessary to RSVP and send in your $ at the early bird savings.
