Man Ron has bad luck with motor mounts! He almost drove straight over me once due to a broken mount that stuck his throttle.

Unless he was very very unlucky, he should have made it. Was it only the motor mounts that were sheared? If so, he should be fine since the T-case is holding everything.

And as a side note, I thought I had sheared my motor mounts too and drove home (ok... much closer than Ron: ~60 miles + another 30-40 in the following weeks) only to find out that I had sheared motors -and- transmission mounts.

For future reference: NAPA transmission mounts part number 620-1068 will work. Same height as stock engine/t-case mounts on NAS D90 (I assume same for Discos?). Not as wide (probably ~2/3 of the diameter, did not measure them; good enough for a day-to-go-to-Conclave fix for sure.... Ask me why I know....). Stubs are a tad too long, so you'll need to cut them on one side for the T-case (passenger side, against the T-case), will mount flush on the other side (driver side, on the frame side; no -need- to cut, but I would have done it if I had an hour to spare). Less than $10 each. Based on my guess I'd say that they will also work on the engine side, but only installed them on the T-Case side.

I just got home safe and sound (a little drama on 95 in Florida) but Auto train was great. What an awsome weekend! I can't thank the people I met enough for just taking me in and treating me like family! It was just incredible to be included in the friendships at this event. I was honored to be part of such a great event. I have to run and pick up my daughter from school, but I can't thank EVERYONE enough for a truly amazing weekend! .

Superb event! Thanks to Goose and Justin and Rick (and anyone else involved) for all the hard work. Bobeck said it at happy hour a few weeks ago, but Rick should get the rookie of the year award!

Great seeing all the regulars and a bunch of new faces.

Lav, the pictures of the kids wheeling in the mud are the best. I loved the way they gravitated to the mud or the fire.

I only took a couple of pictures, these two being the only ones worth posting - that mud we encountered was the slipperiest stuff I have experienced in a long time. Sorry Jeff. And sorry to the Loudoun County sanitation dept. (whomever cleans my street drains).

Glad to here everyone got home without any fanfare.

I'll try to show Raub's weekend briefly.
Truck shows up at the Cove and everyone pokes a nose under the hood.
We go for the maiden trail ride.
Raub exclaimed "We don't have rocks and trees like this in Florida".
Loading a dirty lump in his 110 45 minutes late for departure for Autotrain.

Good to meet you Raub and thanks for the ride Saturday.

Figured it only fitting to pop my cherry on here (my first two posts were in the parts section...so they don't count) by thanking Jeff for the grinning remark. Nice photo.

Great event, again. thanks to everyone, new faces and old. I'm glad I know all of you.

Cheers!!

Ok so my first event I have got to say, it was just awsome and literally everyone I met was just super nice. Rick, Gustavo, Justin and crew put on a great event. I know I will miss some people, so let me start off by saying I can't express enough how friendly the NoVa crew was and how you guys just took me in and made me part of the family. It really meant alot and really says alot about the character of you guys as individuals and a group. So here it goes;

Rick just can't thank you enough for your hospitality and an superb event!

Doug like wise, just the entire weekend hanging out with you and your son was great. Thank you for the windows as well and just everything. I hope the back gets better. I look forward to MAR.

Mr. Robert, what can I say, your trouble shooting prowess is amazing. You caught every one of those wires I left off to see if you were paying attention - amazing! So I was wondering what event you and Mr. Mark plan on attending next because I need to change my oil and do a few other things and I would be much more comfortable with your knowledge, humor, funny hats and empty beer bottles on my fender. Thank you for lunch, the beers and your friendship.

Craig, not only your food but your hospitality was absolutly incredible! I can't thank you enough.

Ray, it was great to meet you and your crew, hopefully my daughter will come along on the next one.

Charles, Jason, Pedro, Jeff, Loic, Jeff and everyone else you guys kept me laughing the entire time. Just a fun bunch!

David and Jeff B thanks for taking me on the trails to bust the cherry on the 110. I look forward to wheeling with you guys again.

Justin with Lucky 8 thank you for pulling my battery terminals while the starter fire works were going off and beer bottles were flying!

And I am sure I am leaving people out - it was a great time because of the people. If anyone is down in Florida, shoot me a line so I can repay the hospitality.
