Thank you to Goose and Rick for coordinating the event and to Randy Williams for having all the extra parts a schmuck like me would need.

A big thank you to the D90 Happy Hour crew for letting me tag along and showing me the trails at the Cove. I had an absolute blast.

And an especially big thank you to Jeff Huff for putting my axle back together yesterday morning. I owe you big.

Other thank you's to Charles Galpin for spotting, recovering, front end help and all around good dude.
Jason Lavender for coaxing me through, pulling me around and eating the rocks and dirt I was tossing.
And honestly, everyone else out there.

Drive home was uneventful, especially after all the mud finally fell off the wheels and the vibes smoothed out. Did get my ass turned around near Winchester and ended up on Rte 7 instead of 50. Can't wait to do it again.

Glad to hear you made it back in one piece and changing axles is my new hobby!

As others have said, this was a great event so thanks to the organizers and sponsors and I think that it really embodied what the Rover community is all about. The atmosphere in the tent on Saturday night said all that could be said! looking forward to it again next year!

Keep it Abe. There was some wear on the output shaft when we pulled it and the radiator isn't anything to brag about, although works fine and doesn't leak the beginings of the down hill slide are there.

I'll let Raub speak for himself but he sounded like if there wasn't a child custody issue involved with him leaving Florida he would be re-locating to Virginia asap.

Just an echo to everyone else's posts....

A huge thanks to Rick, Gustavo & Justin - as this year sealed it for this being a must attend event each year. Well done guys.

AND let's not forget those fantastic vendors who donated time, money and swag!!! They know how much it means to ensure the organizers are not out of pocket. I am sure however some magic accounting still sees a loss

As the Dood would say- you rock Jonesy.
Great time, wish it was longer. Fortunately a lot of us are doing it again in 2 weeks.
My pleasure mate! I think being surrounded by a bunch of great guys makes it all worthwhile. I would do it again this weekend in a heartbeat. Let's not talk about the wife's POV on that though

Big thanks to Conclave and sponsors for such a well organized and executed event. The event felt to me like it was taking on its own community vibe already. Unique for an event so young. It would be blast to see even more of the traditonal Defender Source crowd gather there next year.

Special props go out to the NOVA HH Cookie. Awesome food planning cooking skills my man.

Luckily absolutely NO damage, apart from a fender flare that we quickly reinstalled. Didn't even bust the side mirror. All he wanted to know was if I got a photo of it haha.

All in all there were around 6-8 trucks in that trail ride, and about 12 people next to his truck ready to help him within 15 seconds of the flop in the pouring rain.
Yeah (having been there done that) I asked Dana and he said it was a very very slow roll and soft inpact. I think the rack design he has had a lot to do with how the truck wasn't damaged. @ least the billy goat wasn't riding with him

No wonder my fan clutch was so dirty...

My first time at the Cove I blew the rear diff just trying to get on to U-turn hard from the fire road.

A buddy of mind rolled all the way over on the roof down by the horse pens.

It happens man.

To be fair, nobody in our group was going to make it up that spot during the rain, it turned to grease. It was still challenging when dry.

Newman Newman Newman and Goose - what a great job.

We had a fantastic time.

Saturday night was good.
The auction was much better than last year... Mark did a good job, but don't tell him I said so.

Many thanks to the organizers and sponsors.

Yeah, just ask Jill about slamming on the brakes with a goat in the back. Especially one with horns.

Great event! Great company! Eventhough I was trail-truck-less this time, the kids and I had a great time! This says a lot! Will gather participant approvals and post the two or three vids I shot.
