Columbia/Ellicott City MD - Meeting

There seems to be a number of Defenders arround the Columbia/Ellicott City MD area. We should all get to know each other at some point.

We just need to pick the when and where? The Brewery in Ellicott City was mentioned. Should we pick somewhere with a bigger parking lot so that we can all park together?

What's everyone's thoughts?

Hey guys,

I would be willing to make the trip from NoVA.

Of course, you all could make the journey down to Arlington on August 24th and join the previously scheduled Happy Hour.

Have to say I agree with Trevor on that one............I can't make it to Arlington for the Happy hour on a Friday night. It might take me 2 hours with Friday night traffic in Washington.

Matter of fact - if Bozman is coming here - we should make it a saturday morning breakfast or something. I would hate to have him sit through the traffic. We could meet at the Bagel Bin at the Villiage of King's contrivance center, or the McDonalds. That is right off 95 for Bozman and others. There is a big parking lot there for us to park our trucks together.......

Just a thought......

correct! I'm also contemplating doing adventure tri's some road bike racing, and maybe a half marathon or tow thrown in for a good all around mix!

Why not make it a Saturday or Sunday tech day, then? Gather at someone's house, turn a wrench or two, drink a beer or two . . .

I do have a radiator on it's way from kansas... of course that will only take me 30 minutes to install myself, so not much fun there...

Wrench weekend? Anyone want to do a frame?

Pendy made me an offer I couldn't refuse if I had the money, but i don't so for now, I must.

I'll buy a frame, lots and lots of pizza, burgers, cold drinks, etc... and we replace a frame in a 95 RRC?

I know, dream on.

Quantico will be a blast. The Charlottesville Xterra looks like it'll be a challanging course. The X-Rep for that race is one of the guys that works for us. So give him crap.

the human calander (wifey) has scheduled me up for a few weekend!

I'd certainly be up for going on a nice long ride out by you, I drive out to westminster all the time as my turtle vet is right off mainstreet!
Around here in columbia riding on the roads is like driving in downtown philly if you've ever been there, people have no respect...

i haven't ridden at quantico but word is that it is FAST, which will be fine with me, i'm shooting to get in the top ten of sport this time...

I just realized the cvill xterra is this weekend, so i can't do that, I've really got to work on my swimming before i could consider doing that, I haven't hit the water at all this year...

did you guys ever get together ?

If so and in the near area (DC, Laurel, Columbia) I will try to meet you guys out...
I am now finally officially confirmed in the market for a 90 - so I'll be chking these pages a little more often...
although having a set of twins and a wife makes it hard to get out of the husband duties... but I can try to make some time here and there.

At least I got the OK to get the 90 - now to find the right one !!
