Cool Jay. So Borrego can be a day trip from LA? SCLR is planning a trip on the 6th but i cant get away for the whole weekend.

You could do it but it would be a pretty long day for you from the MDR/Venice area.

Borrego Springs itself is about 85 miles from Palm Springs. Interstate 10 to Indio, then branch off to CA 86 then on to the Borrego Salton Seaway CR-S22 for 25 miles or so.

I am not sure if it would be any faster to approach from the other side and take I-15 to Temecula then on to Hwy 79...

(Buck might know this.)

Thanks Garth.. Sounds like a long day which is why most of the guys are going to camp overnight.

One Day

It was around 3 hours to get there from orange county - longer to get back - next time I go I am going to camp as it was fun but the drive back got long - I had my 5 yr old daughter in the back and even she got tired of watching movies

plays thru bluetooth thru the speakers might have had it turned up very loud but we were successful - shrek 3 and cloudy chance of meatballs - could not have made the drive without it
