any trails near atlanta?

A buddy and I are in Atlanta for the weekend, and wanted to take the disco out tomorrow. Anybody know of any easy-moderate trail systems?

Beasly's Knob is North and East of Atlanta

You can't polish a turd but you can roll it in glitter - ad for Freelander.

Here's a map of the forest service roads just north of Dawsonville near Amicalola Falls.
Find Nimblewill Church off HWY 52 and drive the green and blue route on this map. Forest service roads 77, 42, 43A, 69, 333 and 58 - its a pretty ride.

If you have time after the roads jack mentioned, find your way here:!3m1!1s0x0:0x0
Take FS rd 46.
When you get to a 3 way intersection you can take short bumpy road that dead ends at a former FS tower location. Turn around and come back to the intersection and go right, that will take you to another intersection where if you go left it will take you out through Amicalola State Park. You need a pass for the park so it's probably best to just drive on through and exit the park rather than stopping.
FS46 has been bad (used to be a 2' deep mud hole) in the past but I think some time in the past few years they graded it and made it a pretty smooth drive.

Four wheel drive allows you to get stuck
in places even more inaccessible.
