Mike, sounds good for the 22nd if thats the weekend your talking about going to Stoney Lonesome.As for this weekend looks like my plans may change to Georgia instead of Cullman not sure called forrest service today and the recording said Beasley was closed due to weather at this time.Hope someone says differently. Had a great time at Stoney Lonesome this weekend,great trails,rated easy ,difficult and extreme,stayed on difficult most of the time,didnt want to get stuck since there were no other Land Rovers there.Going this Sun. 22nd hope others will come out,its worth the drive.Thanks Johnny

I will look at weekends for Dec. Hopefully we can get some Land Rovers together at Stoney Lonesome,after going there last time I really think it is a good place to 4wheel and not that far away.Thanks Johnny

the trails today were alright. miniac almost flipped when he slide down a steep ass hill climb. had to cut it hard and drove straight down the hill. he definitely got lucky.

i wouldn't recommend stoney lonesome. the trails are sporadic, and hard to find you're way about. the easy trails are basically graded roads without pavement, the advance trails are laughable, and the extreme trails are vertical hill climbs with rocks. i would try the extreme trails when it is dry, but we only did advance and easy trails, since the extreme trails are pretty wet and a little too much for my truck from what i could see.

personally, if you're goign to wheel in bama, i'd go to grayrock, morris mountain, will borne, mountainside, or any of the other more fun looking trails. stoney lonesome was just boring to be honest.

it was a nice way to spend the morning though, so it was worth it for the 3 hours we spent there.

oh and johnny, check the connection of your center diff. it was definitely the culprit.probably a loose connection.

Sorry Mike that you didnt have more fun,I could tell you were bored,when you or anyone else plan a trip to one of the other parks let me know I will be up for it once I get some tires on my 90.For now I still enjoy Stoney Lonesome park,just wont be going when its wet.As for my diff. the light on the dash shows its engaged?so I dont know whats going on with it. Thanks Johnny
