Appears I can't go this year. Have to back home in TN for a family event. Sorry to miss it - hope to see everyone at URE!

I am looking forward to seeing Trevor, his 5 other friends, and mountain dog.

We spent last weekend whacking through the weeds on the mountain getting trails cleared and opened back up. We also cleared out and routed a really easy trail in the flat areas at the bottom of the mountain for the shiny / stock vehicle set. We seem to be getting a small but growing number of participants with newer Range Rovers and LR4's that want to come out and play. While not as hard core as most of you - they add an exciting new dimension to our events. (Maybe Renching will drive his RR Sport instead of his D90????)

I have also started mowing back the camping field from 4 foot weeds to groomed park land.

Our next work weekend will be the weekend of September 10th. We would love the extra hands and trucks to make sure we get all of the property covered one last time.

(Jeff Bang/NOMAR is the Whacker in this photo with his back turned to you.)

(apologies for the Honda in the photos. I am waiting on parts to arrive from England to replace the clutch master cylinder on my Stage One.....)

Will try to make it. Unless there is some kind of mandatory "first timer" hazing ritual...

Pray it doesn't rain. That is hazing enough, but a damn good time too.

Last year the Gov of Virginia declared a state of emergency because of the projected path of a hurricane. Based on that, the big top tent purveyor refused to put up his tent. Made for a different kind of MAR.

That reminds me of the conclave tent! Very much looking forward to this year...and while I'm bringing Coyote, driving the LR3 home today from getting her back off the boat provides another option.

It is a little too early to really be looking.... but the hurricane in the picture is already moving eastward and the two tropical depressions do not look like they pose any threat to the Mid-Atlantic region.

Up here in New England we're in full out drought mode. We need several hurricanes to turn grass green.

Doesn't look like I'll make it to MAR either. I'm being forced to go to the Petit LeMans at Road Atlanta instead.
