That would be cool.
After this line "16-20 September 2008 National Rally"
Can you put "The following times are tentative"

Thanks
Pete

I used McNutt last year, LA to Montrose. $700 each way. They mounted the truck rearwards on the top of a hauler for the return and a stone broke the rear window. Paid me $100 -- all I could get out of the sub-shipper. McNutt said it was between the sub-contractor and me.

I guess I would use them again -- what're the odds of another stone?

$12,000, 7 trucks, load in Lowell MA, have them in Moab the night before the rally. Will stay at a hotel and load them the evening the rally ends and bring back to Lowell. Secure parking where i work before and after.

I'm going to trailer my own

The rally will based out of the Moab Valley inn, stratigically place right across the street from the Moab Brewery! Meeting up for Trails and the Vendor Event is held at the Spanish trails Arena south of town, there are normally nice condo's to rent down there which is normally where we spend New Years.

There's camping out East (ish) of town at the Sand Flats recreation area. a Dozen other "camping areas" along the river to stay.

The MVI fills up quick once we start getting registrations.

Most feel that due to the fast pace of the Rally and all of the activities (did I say drinking?) staying in town is a safe bet to get 'some' sleep and be safe while having a lot of fun!

There are plenty of other accomidations out of town as well, sort of the Dude Ranch type thing. Pretty nice but pretty expensive.

I've always "enjoyed" the MVI proximity to the Brewery too!

The condos sound like a good Idea if the MVI is booked..

I'm posting under Keith's name (does that mean the forum cops will be knocking at my door?)

Just an FYI -
We (Keith and I) will be staying at a condo complex called "Rim Village". It is just behind the arena basically. It's not that much more expensive than the MVI, and MUCH nicer, if you can tolerate sharing a condo with others. I think if we get enough folks staying out there at the complex, it would be a lot of fun. You just have to remember to bring your beer! There are a couple of rental companies that I have used in the past.

vrbo.com (vacation rental by owner) - they have 3 bedroom units for $235/night
moabcondorentals.com (accomidations unlimited) - probably similar prices

If you have time to search around, you may be able to find a better price. Each owner chooses a rental company to "pimp their cribs".

Let me know if any of you want more info - I'll be glad to assist!

Karen
