@Loic, you need[ed] to send an email to Mike with RoverTym in the subject asking to participate. It's a bit clouded in mystery, but you can see it on the schedule for 9-2 on Friday and Saturday. I was told I was penciled in pending physical inspection of myself and my vehicle prior

@Fernando, I'll have room if getting to Chantilly is close enough to DC for your buddy's liking. Look for the partridge family looking 110, or call me on my cell to meet up and discuss. 703 728 9247.

I will be there (and sleeping) in a basically stock black 1995 LWB with a black thule box on the roof along with an extra thule bar. I will be wearing an orange land rover hat in all likelihood.

Please say hi if you see me or find me if you truck is broken.

Great trip, and good to see those of you I ran into. I somehow didn't meet that many people outside of the usual suspects - we'll need to setup a formal gathering/meeting of d-90.com folks next time.

@Fernando, i had no way of telling, but AT&T had no service there. I hope your friend got a ride back

i definitely had a good time too. it was different from Pearl's Pond, some things worse, some things better. great time seeing and wheelin with some familiar faces and meeting new ones.

Charles is a surgeon with Janey. Makes it look like a summer drive in the country.

Nice seeing you guys! Definitely had a great time. I will provide my feedback on those "worse" and "better" things to ROAV in the hope they can do something to improve them for next year's MAR (wherever it will happen).

I'm thinking (same things I already told you):
- (medium to large size) sticker on the truck with your D90 member name (under the event sticker? back of the truck? stickers all over the truck to prevent pin stripping? )
- name tag with what you are driving, your D90 member name on you at all time
- a formal time and place to meet other D90 Source members. Maybe a lunch so it does not interfere with the other planned events? Maybe just before/during a planned event like the auction/raffle/dinner (thinking auction or raffle might be better time since not everyone will want to pay for the dinner)?

Just for the record: if we go the sticker route, I'd hope we can all have the same design/format so it looks consistent (hence easy to spot/read). As long as we have a MS Word format/whatever, everybody can print their own (cheaper?), maybe a group-print is more convenient (unless it rains, paper stickers would work)? I'm sure if done in advance we could drop those stickers at registration desk for distribution.

Good question.... Don't know! I think I got one when I purchased a few T-shirts a few years ago? Maybe I bought them at the same time (CvC was financing new software purchase/upgrade)? Charles has one on his truck, so he might remember how he got it (likely after I got mine).

You know my stance on this. Anything good is attributed to the vehicle. Anything bad, the driver

Surely it was a freebee from CvC (i know people in high places, LOL). I have 4 here on the bookshelf Doug, so remind me next time we get together and you can have one. I just checked cafe press thinking it would be there, but don't see it.

- do a search on Picasa (http://picasaweb.google.com/) on "MAR 2008"!
- I posted a few pics there: http://picasaweb.google.com/d90.nas/...cRallyMAR2008# (but I was driving, so.... Not many pictures! ;-) )
- the professional photographer just opened their picture site: https://www.collages.net/consumersit...password=20351

Looks like all the pictures that were there got pulled from the web site (can't see any this morning). So I guess this is still work-in-progress....

Now that's a great idea! When the trucks are up-in-the-air/in hairy situation, we typically see a lot of under carriage (otherwise the picture is not scary enough to represent reality) and the underbody is often boring! I'll put all the stickers I got at MAR on the diffs/axles/frame/etc.
More seriously, I actually think this is a good idea. I never know where to put the stickers I get.

Now, if I could get some lighting under there so the stickers can be seen very well..... I always come up with over-the-top ideas! ;-)

The photographer site is working fine from here right now. Several pictures of Mary and the kids. 2 pictures of the D90 and a few of Courtney drawing, but no sign of Janey...

On Friday, there were less pictures (and none of the D90)! This is great!
