I've got two sets. Coming up to NYC anytime soon? You can have them.

Thanks Jimmy I'm staying with drums on the rear. I'm down for a set of fronts though, thanks!

I would love a set of calipers. I want to upgrade the new truck to vented discs in front and drums in rear.

Dave, let me take a look, but I am pretty sure I have a rebuilt set ready to bolt in. I think I had a chatter/vibe or something and thought it might be the calipers and replaced them, but pretty sure they didn't end up being the problem. Either way they are yours. Can bring to HH.

Yes, A D1 utilises a solid brake rotor where the Defender has a vented rotor. It is common to install D90 brakes on a D1.

To expound on Jimmy's reply, yes they are a totally different caliper with bigger pistons.

A 110 with solid rotors will have the same caliper casting as a NAS 90 except without the spacer required by the vented disc.

Disco and RRC calipers are the same casting but the RRC one has the spacer for vented disc and the extra line ports to allow for the two circuits to coexist in the caliper.

I think there is a 3rd type also which is early RRC 87 and 88 which use a double line caliper without the spacer. Again same casting as D1.

I'll try to find pics.

I haven't compared a set side by side, but there's also the 110 rear calipers (STC1268/9) that are compatible on the 90's. I don't know if the piston diameter is larger, but the pads do have more surface area.

Is this spacer available separately? I have a serviceable set of 110 solid rotor calipers that I pulled off my old axle.

It is, that's what I have on my truck. The pads and rotors are bigger as well. Definitely a worthwhile upgrade since the price is about the same as D90 rear brakes AFAIK.

Why wouldn't you just run the 110 calipers? The vented rotors is more bling factor than anything else, at least on these vehicles.

What difference does it make?
