I tried engaging the guy in KY a bunch of times and wasn't very successful. He's in the midst of selling a house or some such. If it is what it appears, it's a nice truck that needs a little love. One thing he did reveal is that every light is on in the dash.

That's a good question. All 4 defenders are still on this board (CO, TX, IA and NY respectively), the lwb is in NY, the red rrc is a buggy in GA, the last built disco is in TX but not active, the white RRC is still local, green RRC is a trail rig in WV, green hunter is in upstate NY along with the Blue 90sw.. .

Thinking there was a LR3 used in a Defender transaction that touched your hands for like 5 seconds before going to 1 of 40 ...

It was sad seeing her leave and realizing that I was now RRC-less. A RRC is what brought the Land Rover disease to me in 2002

It was also sad seeing how pathetic the DII looked sitting next to it. I almost ordered a lift kit for it while I was freezing my stones off watching for the shipping guy. -30 or some crap with the wind chill

The hunter was good to me and I had a lot of fun with her, but I couldn't justify letting her sit in a garage.

Not a lot of updates, between snow and a lot of proposal work at work there hasn't been much opportunity. I'll say, though, that the truck was just as described and Bill was fantastic to work with.

I did get the matts and carpet installed installed for the most part and got the old exhaust removed. Need to drill the remainder of the studs out of the y pipe flange to get the new magnaflow installed. From there I'll do plugs, wires, rotor and cap for good measure and then see how emissions goes.

Got naval jelly on the very small amount of rust on the truck and will likely pull the bumpers and have them re powder coated. The good used center console will hopefully go in this weekend.

I'm seriously considering pulling the 3"+ lift with remote blingsteins and going with a 2" of some denomination to get it into the parking garage at work. If so I'll post up the old lift on here.

How did I miss that you got the Hunter home??? Congratulations!

Hope the carpets & console work out ok. With the weather improving up here, I'll have an opportunity to pull the rear seat & get you the last piece of carpet that goes under it… if you want it.

If you need anything else let me know.

Thanks, and the carpet is great! A few minutes with the steam cleaner and they're like new, thanks again!
