WTB Sub $8k 110

Starting a restoration project in the near future so I'm looking for a place to start. $8k is the budget for starters bepending on running condition. No stone will be unturned so body and frame condition is not a concern. Don't be shy, send me what you got, know of and don't want.

Many thanks,
Clay

for 7k, still doesnt look bad... bulkhead looks rusty, and i'm sure the frame is shot, but the body looks to be all there and in good condition

so jealous of that lift. Was that the only sub $8k you found, or were there others?

i agree. i've seen worse. but she's seen better days. frame is toast. the seller bought her last year from a less-than honest chap. once seller's funds cleared the site evaporated and could never be contacted again. i'm letting the seller pull whatever parts he can salvage before i take it. i hope he can at least get close to breaking-even.

Congrats on the find. I'm sure it will need plenty of work But a complete, legally imported 110 on US soil for 7k sounds like a deal to me.

What!!! A dishonest chap in the UK sold a scrap yard bound Defender to one of us trusting Americans? Can you hear the sarcasm in my voice? I feel your seller's his pain. I was lied to by a guy name Paul at a place called Regency Motors in Hemp Hemstead. He better hope we never meet in person.

SWING AND A MISS!

This hasn't fully sunk in yet...the seller just emailed me (chicken) to say he sold the truck to someone else this morning and he'd be sending my check back. Damn, there's some choice people out there. I hope the buyer wasn't someone from this forum who swooped in in the middle of the night after seeing my post update but I shouldn't put it past some folks either I guess.

dang!,

That is really crappy...seems to be a rash of that going around, it's not the first time I've heard that kind of thing. The kicker is the guy had your damn check!
