WTB-rent, community help
Hi, looking for community help with help in tool to rent or buy from others that have purchased for a one time use for head gasket replacement, 200 tdi.
After replacing the exhaust gasket for what was believed to be leaking it was discovered that the #4 is leaking towards bulkhead.
Looking to do this after harvest and attempting to have everything on hand when starting this rather than scramble and wait for some tool and forget something.

What do you think you need apart from basic hand tools and a torque wrench and a head bolt angle gauge?

Angle guage for sure,
After looking at LR toolbox, reading a few pages on line realize most tools I have tho might be a few,as usual, not mention on either, LR toolbox or on pages read.
Just those little things that can make this a nice experience over a bad one

i have the angle gauge, which you can get locally at napa or autozone. however, having done the headgasket many times (unfortunately), I have heard from several seasoned mechanics that they don't use them. they use a paint pen on the bolt heads to monitor the degrees turned, and then go by eyeball

The angle gauges are only around $10.

Torque wrench, socket, and angle gauge is all you need.
I always take the head and have it skimmed and install new head bolts.
