WTB: Range Rover Classic or Discovery

I'm looking for a solid clean RRC or Disco for my dad. He is beginning to sell real estate/property in the Asheville area and would like a clean Land Rover that he can take clients around in, especially out into the mountains and up old dirt/logging roads.

It needs to be a solid runner, good paint and a premium will be placed on a clean well kept interior. An SD discovery would a great find with the manual seats and no sunroofs.

It can have some little minor things that need to be fixed, but no major engine/transmisson and drive train related issues and no rust. F that stuff.

Modded Rovers are welcome. Bull bars, winches, racks, lifts, bring it on. Whatever he gets it will be getting all of those things at some point.

We've got cash in hand and are willing to travel for the right truck (read great interior and body)

PM me with what you have or email me with detail pics to madcowdungbeetle (at) gmail (dot) com

Peter posted a truck the other day. Super clean - http://www.defendersource.com/forum/...ad.php?t=55396

Might be a little more pristine than you're looking for though.

Definitely a little more pristine, was looking to spend up to $5k for a decent truck ie not PERFECT or solid starting point.... but holy shit that truck is BEAUTIFUL

Flat black is out. Gotta be an original kinda rover paint job. My dad is definitely not down with the new flat black trend.

91 Green over saddle. shiny and presentable, but does have dent in RF fender- no broken paint at the dent.
Recently repaired front floors and rear seat belt anchors. I originally wrote an estimate for the car, and ended up owning it. It needs shocks because they are leaking in the rear, pads and rotors all the way around due to being undersize 10 months ago and likely rusted by now, exhaust from the cat back, the steering box has some play.
Great upper tailgate, presents well.
Having trouble getting pics off of my SD card, but there are some in a thread title "smattering of Rovers for sale".
Open to offers.

A few pics I have on my phone of the 99 Disco (it's the one on the left):

No tears in seats, LR Waterproof seatcovers on them most of it's life. 114K miles, head gaskets done 2K miles ago. A/C is fine.

Missing in the pics are the following:

Brand new aluminum steering guard
Rear light protectors
Front and Rear Qt Diff guards
and a few other things I can't remember right now

I have a bunch of things I wanted to add to this DI but don't have the time.

$2,500 w/o roof rack, 4 Hella lights, REAL roof rack flooring (not chicken wire), Hella work lamp.

$3,000 with rack and other stuff.

I have so many extra parts for this truck that you could probably sell the parts and make half your money back.

Let me know if you are interested.

John

I should correct my reply: the interior color is dark grey, not saddle for the 91 County.
