What's wrong with that auto conversion? It looks seamless as opposed to others that have required cutting/drilling, seatbox mods, etc.

all i was saying is its tough to command top dollar for a vehicle that is no longer stock and done "cheap"

Ben in Charlottesville has the exact opposite of what you are looking for - '94 ST (Red) with about 100k miles and a salvage title - but it is all there and was recently road worthy. Woman took it as a trade on a ROW truck and wants to turn it into cash as far as I know. I previously posted pictures. But it for $12k, put a top and a few bucks into it and you'll still be sub $20k

No worries B… Its helpful info. I was responding to Eds follow. up. Really just trying to give the OP some ammunition to negotiate a lower price.

technically it is the stock configuration, just not a manual but your right good ammo! I have talked with several guys who have gone after $30k plus trucks and have gotten them in the low $20's bc of cash in hand offer! So you never know

If you buy local, then you've got a better chance of getting an inspection and using the results to your advantage in the bargaining process. I bought my 90 years ago when most were still selling for 35k and up. I found one for sale locally and took it to an LR dealer for a complete pre-purchase inspection. The results came back that it needed 5-7k worth of work, much to the shock of the owner. I made the guy an offer for 5k under his asking price and he went with it.

You have to get a lot more personally involved than just bidding on something on the internet, but I think that is to your advantage anyway.

There's a discount on Cialis??

I think I found Ben in Charlottesville, but his answering machine said they were closed until next week.

I also asked about the converted automatic, but he doesn't seem ready to give on his asking price.

Still trying...

Thanks again for the leads so far!

Just because you want it doesn't make it so.... People know the value of these and they don't give them away... If you do get one it will be because that's what it is worth I.e. Has serious problems that require major investment....

Oh wait... I'm just repeating what most board members that spend a good portion of their lives following this commodity have already told you....

I appreciate the mention, but my truck is not for sale for $25k. It's not a funky auto conversion and it didn't sell on Craigslist a year or two ago.

The D90 previously mentioned in this thread with NM plates is mine. Someone is stealing the pictures and once again posting false ads. The truck now resides in Arizona.
