WTB LR3 with HD package

I am looking for a LR3 2006-08 with less than 90K miles with the Heavy Duty package, in any color except Black. I have called over 30 that I found for sale and cannot find one with the HD package. I am having the same luck that my kids have looking for 4 Leaf Clovers....

What type of wheeling do you have in mind to require the rear locker?

They made it an option because the LR3 is so heavy.

It doesn't really make that much difference with the locker. And if you really want a capable truck get one without it and add the arb for a full time selectable locker.

I question if it is really needed and solely added for additional profit to LR. Thant being said, there is a nice 08' loaded SE with 64k miles. Silver with back interior. With locker, nav, memory seats, etc. One owner, kid hauling mom selling. Asking 19k. Located 90 minutes south of NOVA. This should be Dro's, but that is another story.

As my comrades have mentioned, unless you intend to go full bore offroader there is no need for the locker-and it won't solve the problems being so heavy causes by and large. Good tires and learning to drive a rather different way due to its features will prob do as much as most would want to in these trucks.

I'd also concur with the notion of going ARB later if you find a no locker model just isn't getting it done.

I have the HD package and love it. I ordered my truck from Solihull so I was able to include it.

Any reason you didn't include the '05s? Other than a few teething problems all fixed under recall it's basically the same truck as an '06.

I know this sounds petty, the main reason I left out the 2005 was that they don't have tilt on the front seats...

Not sue about the pass side but the drivers has tilting seat. Our 05 is the hse so the se may not have it.

Just checked. 05 HSE drivers side dipped, pass side does not. Don't know about SE models.

I agree 100% with this! I hate driving those early trucks, I just can't get comfortable.

IIRC the HD package was only $750 extra and included the locking rear diff and a full size spare.
