WTB Hub and I have a few questions

Anyone have a Drive Member and Hub Assembly sitting around relatively free of barnacles and algae that they are willing to part with? I just want one for measuring, it won't be going on a truck.

How standardized are these among all the usual suspects defender axles? Are there thick and thin drive members? is it the bolt through dimension that changes?

Thanks

Oscar

There are thick and thin drive members. Post up a picture of what you have or what year truck you have. If you have thick drive members I think Gustavo is selling a HD set.

There are only two hub arrangements on Defenders. Before the 300TDI and after. There are a few differences. Later has bearings closer together, thinner drive flange, and somewhat different seals.

Thanks Dave and John.

I honestly don't know what to look at to determine what's under my bitsa truck. I'll pull a wheel and snap some pics.

I'm mostly concerned with the external dimensions.

Three things Jeff,

One looks more straight forward than I was expecting, it's (the idea) of fitting some two piece rotors I have in the garage.

The second is for wheel spacer idea.

Third, I enjoy drawing this stuff in Autocad.

So, I can head down to the local salvage yard and look for a D1 and that should be close enough in external dimensions? When you guys mention thick and thin drive members is this the diameter of the flange that is wider/ thicker or the part that the 5 boots go through thicker? Looks like about 15mm or so in the picture.

Pulling a hub removing the caliper, five drive member bolts then one larger axle nut? 52mm axle nut? F wrench do it in most cases?

Thanks again
