WTB: Harness ends for Heated Seats

If anybody can tell me where to locate a pair of female connectors for the pictured switch it would be helpful (I am looking for the connector and about 6 inches of the harness).

For some reason I think I can find them in older Discoveries, (if anybody knows the years please post as well, I have no problem going to a junk yard and cutting a pair out).

I wired up a set of Webasto Heater seats (with relays, etc..) and I would like to add a factory switch. If anybody has a lead it would be helpful. Thanks

I think this plug will work, you might have to modify the plastic a little.

nice find, that will reduce a splice... thanks.

I will be ordering them soon. These Webasto Heated seats are really hot, with the Webasto coolant heater we are really warm in the truck.

I am getting a webasto air heater next week (in trade for some custom ammo....)

Here are the ones I have.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/WEBASTO-SEAT...item2eba224cae

Here is the PDF sales sheet.

They are very warm, the best I have ever sat on. I attached them to a set of Sheep Skin covers I got on the board from another D-90 member. They come with a 3 position switch (seat & seat and back). I took the time to install a relay and use a single switch (on High at all times). The LR switch will fit in my dash (it is only an on/off switch).

I had a friend at Webasto so I got the coolant heater, and seat covers at a deal... The air heater comes in next week....

How hard would it be to install these in existing seats? Something in the back of head is saying they spray glue the cloth to the cushions and that might be a problem. Anyone take apart a seat before that can weigh in on this that would be great.

It's very easy, if you don't want to do it, you can take it to an upholstery shop.

I stuck them to my seat covers so I could remove them if I ever wanted.

I'm working on a 99 DI and I think it had heated seats. I'm going to use some cloth seats from my 96 DI so I don't need the heated seat harness. Let me make sure it had heated seats and get back to you.

BTW, the seats, center console and dash did not come with the truck and that's why I am not sure if it had heated seats.

No pics of the install, I am on the road.

But look at the attached document, it gives you an idea. It is pretty simple if you understand how relays work (there are 3 on the Webasto harness and you have to tie properly into 2 on the truck).

Basically when the key is in the "off position" the webasto has control of the heater blower (the actual blower not the switch inside the truck, you need to keep that on high or low in the winter if you want the cab to warm up). As soon as you turn the key on the webasto gives you control of the heater blower...

I have the thermo 50 12volt.

On the seats if comes with a 3 position switch, Off, Seat, and Seat and back. I did not use the switch and I am running them off a relay. Basically each pad has a 12 volt + and a ground. Take the 12 volt + of each of the parts and put them together. Basically by doing that you remove the third position option and you can then use the factory switch....

I have that part for you. For your records in came off a 99 DI, my 96 DI (SD model with cloth seats) did not have the heated seats nor does my 95 DI (leather manual seats).

Let me know if you want me to ship it, meet up in the city or in Tappan.
