WTB 97' D90 auto transmission cooler

Anyone have a left over Defender 90 automatic transmission cooler? The one that bolts up in front of the radiator. They are on factory backorder with no release date on the horizon.

Thanks in advance

Jim, I have one from a 91 RR, will that work?

Just thought of this: we have a shipment from the UK in two weeks, if you can locate one there we can ship it with our stuff.

Let me know if we can help out.

Thanks John. Unfortunately I cannot use the RRC version on this one. Are you with a business or just a group purchase with friends coming up. I have not found one in the UK yet. Tis may have something for me. It is damaged but between the two I can put one together.

Hi Jim

Do you have pictures of where/how this cooler mounts?

I have a '94 with an aftermarket auto conversion (from a '94 disco I am told). The crrent setup has a small radiator on the fan side of the radiator and its stopping me using electric fans. I have to replace the hoses anyway, so now would be a good time to relocate it to where it *should* be

Also, if you found a source for these, please let me know.

thanks
charles

Option

Another option is to purchase an aftermarket cooler from your local auto parts store. I purchased one when I converted a 94 to automatic last summer. WORKS LIKE A CHARM...i will try to fetch the part number..it was by imperial and mounts in front of the radiator and fits like a glove.

Hi Will

Do you have any pictures? By in front, you mean on the grill side of the radiator? My truck has A/C which has fans on the front side of the radiator already. I am not sure there is room for another cooler there.

thanks
charles
p.s. How far north do you venture? I'd like to compare conversions!

No, it's dead center. There is about 6 inches of radiator on each side of it, but both sides have a support bar crossing that space diagonally.

ON MY 94 THE AC UNIT WAS TO THE FAR LEFT...I USED AN IMPERIAL TRANS COOLER FROM ADVANCE AUTO PARTS.Transmission Oil Cooler: Maxi-KoolŪ XL; Heavy Duty; 3/4" x 7-1/4" x 11"
IT ATTACHES TO THE FRONT OF THE RADIATOR. I BELEIVE THEY ALSO HAVE A UNIT THAT IS 6 INCHES ...YOU MAY WANT TO CHECK ON ADVANCEAUTOPARTS.COM OR AT THE STORE TO GET A BETTER IDEA...7 MONTHS ON AND WORKS LIKE A CHARM.

ALSO JUST TO LET YOU KNOW...WITH THE 3/4 DEPTH IT FIT BEHIND THE BAR NICELY.
