WTB 95 or 97 LR Defender 90 SW

Still looking but I'd thought I'd post here...

Looking for a 1995 or 1997 Defender 90 Station Wagon. Original NAS 90's only. No Saudi or Japanese spec's...Prefer Alpine or Coniston. (or Willow) Must be a wagon please..

Must have air

Prefer under 100(k) miles but will look at higher if great service records are available.

As close to stock as possible..ie no aftermarket wheels with big mudder tires, powdercoated rims, rhino lined, etc...prefer no roof racks as aluminum can be difficult to weld, please no rock climbing, mudslinging examples. Not my cup of tea..

Also, and I don't mean to offend anyone who thinks their 90 is worth $90 grand, but please, reasonable asks...

Thanks Board!

Most D90 SW owners seem to think their trucks are worth 2x what the market actually supports for them, so good luck in your continued search!

[QUOTE=themaxx;487177]97 without air ok?

It starts......

My understanding is that most if not all 97's had air. I will fix the WTB!

You can install air conditioning later. Don't let that deter you from a good D90

I've looked into that. Anywhere from $5500 to $7000 and the 90's without don't seem to be that much less expensive

Talk to Adventure Motorcars in Birmingham, AL. I think they can do it for much less on an NAS model

I can see ECR charging $7,000, but I've seen much cheaper. There are quite a few for sale right now on this board...

I could install an air conditioner on a Defender about like I could install a cardiac stent...

Probably with the same result....

Also, I appreciate the emails and PM's, but I am definitely NOT interested in a salvage or rebuilder title..sorry

I believe that would leave out '95 SW as they were not fitted standard with AC.

That narrows down your search to '97 SW automatics.

If they didn't come with A/C in a 1995 truck, many have added it by this point since it's not that expensive to have done and the value comes back when it's time to sell.

Was also under the impression that very few 95's had air until I opened my search parameters to include 95's just to get an idea of price differences.

I have been pleasantly surprised at the number of 95's I've run across that actually have air. Whether factory or dealer installed makes no difference to me.

As an aside, I've never been much of a Craigslist user...but o'boy are there lot of wackos on Craigslist....

I can see '95 owners or dealerships adding AC out west or down south makes sense.

I never deal with Craiglist, makes me uncomfortable.

My 95 Station Wagon had working AC, looked pretty standard to me, i thought AC was an option on all years.

Might have been a custom option for the '95's but not standard like on the 97's

SUCCESS!!! Found a great Wagon, 95 SW, Coniston with air, will post pics shortly. Just arrived at Dealer. The thanks is for all of the PM's and guidance on the Board, the "you're welcome" is because I'm sure I just set a high water mark for prices....oh well, got tired of looking...needed something under my tree....if you know what I mean.....
