WTB: 1985 110 Door Sills

Need to replace both fronts and middles.

Also, anyone have notes they can share on replacing?

Thanks!

If you have a 5-door SW - there are no front & middles. The sills are a 1pc T-post.

Assumption is perhaps you are referring to the sill covers? Traditionally 2-pc aluminum and often replaced with rock-sliders.

If the truck isn't run hard and you have steps I'd replace the sill cover with a one piece version (we have them in stock)

If you don't have steps or do run the truck hard I would go with a slider.

Well, I appreciate the education. Any info on part numbers for the entire TPost piece? Also, any way of using square tubing to just replace the lower section and weld back to existing pillars?

Victor,

If your uprights are in good condition - we sell a YRM weld in replacement for the horizontal sill piece. Not difficult fabrication to put them together, but someone who understands the application and can get them in the right place is key.

Alternately we can supply both the LR parts, but they are silly money to buy and ship.

I'm knee deep in that right now. I have the weld in YRM pieces for the C pilar in hand, still stripping things down. I think once those are welded in and positioned correctly, I am going to remove the T pilar assembly and galvanize them. The reno just keeps expanding...110 Td5 renovation thread - Defender Source

When I saw the T pillars galvanized, I just knew I had to do it if I was this far along. Hopefully mine will come out as clean as these.

Dead sexy...
