wingtop protectors

Looking for wingtop protectors. I've gotten tired of looking at the puddles on the wings every time it rains. I've found them online for $99. Anyone got any laying around or know where I can get them cheaper?

Tyler,

I have a set of wingtop protectors. However, they are in rough shape. The previous owner decided to paint them and the paint started peeling off...so I tried removing the paint with some aircraft paint stripper. The paint stripper did a pretty good job on one of them and I never got around to finishing the other wing because I purchase a new set. If you are interested, I will sell you the pair for $40 and include the rest of the can of paint stripper. You could probably even bring them to a body shop and have them powder coated. These are the thicker gauge OEM wing protectors sold at the dealership...not the D.A.P. kind. Let me know....

Thanks,
Brian

Oh yeah...the wingtop protectors are located in Chicago (not L.A.) so shipping will be cheaper

The genuine LR ones come with a foam pad that separates them from the fender, are made of 3mm plate, have countersunk holes, and include stainless hardware.

I think they charge a premium for not being contoured correctly, and if you buy the black ones then they fade to a gunmetal grey.
