Wing Top Chequer Plate

I am looking for the 5 bar wingtop silver chequer plate for my '97 Defender. I am looking for the one that has the rubber backing. Anyone have some for sale or know where to buy it? Attached is a picture of the kind I am looking for.

I thought the kind with the rubber backing was the Genuine Land Rover stuff. I believe RoverConnection carries this stuff, and I thought RoversNorth did too. You pay a premium for it though...I hear it's good quality though.

One could also buy some rubber sheet and some of the 'cheaper' stuff to pull off the same effect.

Why bother with the backing? You are going to drill a bunch of rivets in your wings anyway, it's not like you will ever remove them.
'73 SeriesIII coiler,"The Goat", Daihatsu 2.8TD,Santana,Ashcroft,ARB's,etc., now SOLD

go to or maybe Home Depot and pick up some rubber strips with adhesive backing to it. it works nice and keeps the dirt and water out from getting under there. I took mine off and there was load of weird colored dirt, pine needles and other crap that shouldn't have been in there.
