White Disco 1

Looking for a white Land Rover Discovery 1 with manual transmission. Prefer to be somewhere in the midwest to collect it. Need good to better condition. High miles rough running okay.

Thanks

Possibly.... the short story is bought it, started the 'forever' build- as a white CT clone, aka White Camel, and as you know it is by far the cleanest D-I around- amazing actually. Then along comes Kelly Graham, a true trade in from a family from Guatamala on a couple RRs, -a ROW D-II, 60k miles, sd7- no s/r, manual cloth seats, not even roof rails(!!) and...5 spd. No need for both, and yes, Alberto knows and understands, BUT it has to go to someone who appreciates the value and cleanliness, last year 5 spd, etc. It has ARBs, HD F&R axles, RTE sliders, +2" OME with retainers and SS lines, CT roof rack(brand new), CT winch tray- front bumper being completed as we speak, CT side moldings, Mantec snorkle, Wolfs w/ XZLs- new, well it all is... D-90 front brakes, hood blackout, correct Hella 1000s on rack- try finding those in correct lenses:-), etc , etc... Interested??

Thanks Clay, I had PM'd Pendy as well, anticipating his Tdi fettish for such a recipient truck, but a bit too nice I'm afraid for his current needs.

sorry for hijack Pendy, here are a few early pics of it partially done:

Its a good truck. Would be a joy to own. Hope the new owner appreciates it and puts it on the road soon. Doubt you will own it long Dale

Must admit I am looking for something to cut on a bit more then just the engine bay this time. But I want something worth starting with as well. Not a buggy build.

I do hope the truck goes to a good home. Thanks for your kind words about the truck, Dale.

Good luck with the search, Pendy.

Well, back to near stock, $5k which would be a shame to me, but can always use the parts... the front bumper is being worked with an original CT tray, and winch, so kitted to the hilt with lockers, etc $12k ish. Sounds a bit much, but no profit at all, and free labor. I haven't advertised yet as I am going to be as picky as Alberto to ensure a good home. Some of the bits are like hen's teeth as is a D-I in this kind of shape, and is truely a piece of LR history- especially given the route LR is taking.

I'll post some pics of the replacement soon on the website, as I have it apart getting a new tranny currently- but has all the HD steering stuff, lift, steelies, sliders, bumpers, 4.10s w/ TT F&R, 255s, etc- and sadly not near the condition of this white D-I :-( and it's green, from Guatamala so named Iggy, the green Iguana:-)

Dale you need to stop hanging out with Dendy. I think he's a bad influence... or is it the other way around?

that is funnier than you think. Dendy and I met bidding over a couple Series trucks in Ct via Ebay many years ago, and have been very good friends since. But, his OCD makes me look normal (wiping his 110 dry after a rain storm while camping ) - although my 4yo is pulling at me right now to start on his SAS Pink Panther model Genetics or environment???

Got your email also, and will respond shortly... but, yes- it can go back to stock as I have plenty of bits.
