Resurrecting a recent thread...

I couldn't find any Truck-Lites with the 07496 number below. But it appears the correct number for the heated Truck-Lite 2nd generation is 27275C.

Has anyone here installed the heated 27275C? And what is the lowest price found? So far, $565 a pair is the best. -

While I want the heat, I just can't see paying an extra $230 a pair!

Thanks,

Mike & Carrie

Just for archival purposes, here's what I found on my research:

1st Gen - 27250 - very similar looking to stock, due to the lens (this is what Ben is referring to on his post above)

2nd Gen - 27270 - this is supposed to be better than the 1st Gen but will not appear stock on your D or RRC. It has the upper half for low beams and full (top and bottom) for high beams.

2nd Gen heated - 07496 - this is the same as 2nd gen but has the heating element that turns on when temperature drops near freezing.

Good luck!

That is about the price I just paid. My set should arrive this week. It is a large chunk of change, but one that I hope will be worth it with the long winter ahead.

If I lived in Alaska, I wouldn't hesitate. I expect to be crossing the Sierra Nevadas between Reno and SFO a few times a month, not sure I want to spend the extra.

Understandable. Another added benefit is that I hope the heating element lines help to minimize the look of after market LEDs. In the photos it looks like they do.

Heads up on lower cost heated Truck-Lites.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...=ASDMBGFKSW1C3

Rigid Industries on Amazon has a 'kit' for $477.41 with free shipping. You want the "non JK" part number 55008 with H4 connector. Almost $90 savings off the next best price I've found.
