Wanted - Smiths Heater Core and Housing

I have looked hard and cannot locate what I need, so I am about to try and fabricate my own......but, thought I'd ask here first.

I am looking for a Smiths Heater Core and Housing for a Series IIA. I would take the housing only if that is what you have, but need it to be in good shape (no rust, holes, etc.)

Here are some pictures:

I was going to recommend the same. Anything you need, Charles has. I sourced almost all of my IIA parts from him including a new heater core. Only issue is that he has a satellite phone out there in Washington so theres a weird delay when you talk to him over the phone.

It looks like they may have actually sold a part or two off of that 50th Anniversary D90 finally though. Even that rear step bumper which I recall they'd wanted over $1k for!

That makes me cold just looking at it. I remember joking referring to the btu output in mb's (mouse breaths).

Why not just POR-15 the housing you've got? It doesn't look that bad. While you're at it, cut it open and add some sheet metal and you can double up the core for more heat. (Also add a larger blower to the other housing)

....was thinking the same thing. I have an extra but it looks about the same as yours - the three I've redone looked that way before blasting and galvy. Good idea about doubling up. I'll do that

I was wondering why I had 1 housing that looked different then the rest on my shelves. Somebody painted it with primer, but needs some TLC.

Thanks Zee, I wrote you back on GNR too but I am all set. I have a buddy with a sheet metal shop and we met today and are going to make one.

If anyone else is looking both Zee and Dare have them.

Thanks for the replies.
