This is why I am out of the RRC market. Two LWB's, one which was possessed, the other I sold to a buddy and he has had good-ish luck with it. and an SWB that was dream truck, I hit that one in my 110 (damn ice)! I am out. Sometimes it is good to listen to the gods.

Yeah I think I am done with these bottom feeder trucks for a while, change in approach. Going to save up for a nicely sorted RRC that's had tons of money dumped into it but is still only worth 5-10K. Let someone else rake the coals and have the major shit done, all I would need is to chase an electrical gremlin or two

Took the D out yesterday. Besides the big snow fall, its been parked since December. The radio intermittently worked then stopped. Digging through the cubby I found a Cliff bar obliterated by a flippen mouse. Ugh. Not sure how a mouse entered the cubby. The lid seals tight. If some varmint munched on my wire harness, it better be limited to the Alpine side.

That's startling. I found a mouse nest on my top end last winter, I went nuts. Combed over every wire and luckily escaped without anything chewed up. I caulked every hole in the garage, put out bait and traps. Haven't seen one bit of evidence of mice again. I hate cats but almost bought one for the garage.

You will never, ever be able to seal up every crevice to keep mice out of a garage(or house for that matter!)

I feel you'd be better off at least starting it up every 2 weeks or so just to disturb any critters.
Or put some traps @ the vehicle if you're going to park it for months at a time during the cold...

You are right, but I sleep a little better at night. Been keeping the Springer Spaniel out there some, she knows exactly what a mouse is now.

That was a very long break you took there... I'm convinced you said you were done looking for a while after the NY trip...

It's a sickness I know. Even after I find one I'll be looking for another!

I know this is probably too far for you to consider...buy it so I am not tempted anymore.

Not sure if this is even the pic of the actual RRC. Looks good in it tho!

Getting a lot of PM's which is great, and wanted to provide more detail on what I'm looking for.

SWB priority
Mechanically sound/drivable
Minimal rust, meaning a little on floor is ok, none on rear door sills or tailgate
150k miles or less
Would like to have decent paint
Would like to have decent interior
Driving distance of VA +/- few hours
My budget depends on truck-but not looking for show car, this is to take kids camping, hunting, wheel occasionally.

I was in a rush to find something but I've grown some good patience now and I'm tired of looking at shit. If it's summer or fall or 2018 before I find the right one, fine.

Thanks for all the leads so far, very helpful.
