Wanted NAS 110 Heater Box

I think I'm SOL but is there a Heater Box that is still available that fits? From the pictures, the TDI one looks more like mine than I ever would have expected a LR Diagram to look, but that one appears to be NLA as well.

Surely there must be some solution other than converting the whole dash.

Speaking of which, is the original dash and components favorable, or would most people prefer to have the newer dash in a NAS 110? If this becomes too difficult or expensive to source, I may consider switching everything over to the newer style dash with a pod in the middle and functioning vents.

Following this as I am redoing my NAS D110 now and installed a new style bulkhead so get the air vents and flaps which means new style dash needed yet trying to wire the old HVAC stuff in so I don't have to swap out that as well. I was also thinking to use the muduk pod to mount the HVAC controls since that all-in-one style control unit for the NAS D110 won't fit anywhere else on the new style dash area.

Well, the box itself is crumbling. It has several cracks near where it meets the bulkhead and some small ones near where the heater core enters/exits. The Heater Core itself is bad and I was going to go through and rebuild the whole assy prior to reinstall.

The blower motor seems just fine, but I want to make sure everything is good before putting it back. I am thinking of replacing the Evaporator too, just to be safe, but I have to locate one. If worse comes to worse, I may find a way to repair mine, but it would be nice to just replace it.

Do you have any in good shape? What would you want for one?

Does anyone know where to source one? I seem to recall hearing that other defenders use the same heat/ac box.

All defenders with AC up to 1992 or so ROW use the same system.

Perfect, I think I can order the entire thing New from Craddock then. I'll do some more research right now and hopefully find the answer.

I think the 93 NAS was a different box than the say the 94-97. You should have both the heater and A/c cores in the same box? While the knee chiller A/c systems have everything but the actual heater box in the passenger compartment. I was looking for one a while back and found the A/c core on Ebay UK.

Double check the parts book, but one out of a LHD 1984 sure looked exactly the same as a 1993 NAS.

The one in my 86 110 ROW LHD is the same as a 93 NAS 110 box. Mine is also crap. I am putting a normal heater only box in it now, I might get around to making a new box out of aluminum sheets and a RRC blower.

Sounds familiar! I've even considered getting a matrix out of an expedition or similar and building a box for it. Those things do put out heat I'm told!
