Wanted: Lr3 hse

Hello All,

I am looking to buy a well sorted LR3 HSE with the HD package, Logic7 sounds system and HID light kit. If you don't know how to tell if your truck has the HD package, please contact me and I will tell you what to look for. Or, a two minute Google search will help you out as well.

Green is the preferred color but would entertain other colors as well.

Located in SoCal but willing to travel to other states to buy a clean truck.

I am not a dealer, just a Land Rover nut looking for a new toy. (the addiction is real)

Please contact.

Thank you,

Erich

if you don't find one with the heavy duty package (they're tough to find) you can always look into the arb drop locker that's now available for the early make LR3 and Sport.

Good idea! I'll definitely look into that option.

Help Understanding the LR3

I've never owned any Land Rover quite as new as an LR3 so I'm actually curious what everyone thinks of them as Daily Drivers. Or at least a partial DD to add to the mix.

What are some things to look out for that are problematic with LR3's? Having never owned anything but older Rovers I'd have no clue what to look for.

Are there some things about the LR3 that should have been done by a certain mileage standpoint?

Is over 100K miles on an LR3 considered really high or is a LR3 with say 120K miles still a solid truck (the obvious things like maintenance and upkeep by previous owners is understood with this question).

Are some years better than others for certain reasons?

If anyone has some good feedback on those questions that would be nice.

Thanks in advance.
Cheers!

Probably best to search LR3 here (bunch of threads for what to look for) and elsewhere instead of muddling this wanted thread.

No problem. Feel free to move my post if you want.
Thought the info may be helpful to Erich as well.
I've done a search and found some info but not the answers I'm looking for.
Hence, my post.

I'd suggest hopping over to ExpO to look at the LR3 builds there & related discussions. You'll find some info here but a lot over there.

Saw that on Dweb this morning before going over to ExpO to see it in its original glory. It's a baby catcher's mask mock up...it really just makes me do this.

Same experience. 40k in 26 months. Comfortable ride. All the better with today's ~$50 full ups (vs $80 at time of purchase).

Poke around here: http://www.expeditionportal.com/foru.../24-Land-Rover

Lots of good info on the D3/D4, about halfway down the page checkout the 'buying advice wanted' thread.
