Wanted: LR3 for Friend - NOT white

Hey Guys,
Some of you may have rec'd a text, PM, phone call, etc. last weekend when I was out with my friend looking at LR3s in the area. Thanks everyone for their help, as I was trying to steer my friend toward a well priced, well equipped car for his new baby on the way and had not had the chance to research them as much as I would have liked before looking at them. Now that I've read a bunch of threads on them, they do seem like solid trucks, with an emphasis on either an extended warranty or still under warranty being ideal.

If anyone has a well-maintained, well documented, clean titled LR3 in a color other than white or light silver with under or around 70k miles in the $16-20k range...oh and somewhat local to NYC, please let me know.

We went out to look at what Paul Miller (dealer in NJ) had, and they had a 2007 SE with tan interior, 7 seater, and NAV. It looked nice, but with 70k+ miles on it, they just wanted too much for it, and wouldn't budge on the price even though a deal had fallen through on it twice previously. They came down in price $300...time to cowboy sunset those guys...

http://www.paulmiller.com/preowned/S...67A428357.html

He has cash, so no waiting for the bank or anything like that. If you have pics you could post up here or send to my gmail: joshua.oneill I'll keep you updated. Would like to seal up a deal rather quickly. George, I'll be PMing you in a second to see if yours is still available.

Thanks!

Barry, stop trying to stir up trouble. Thanks Tom. Oh forgot to mention the Paul Miller one has new tires, pads, rotors. Friend just called me and they called him and it's actually still for sale.

Horsey,

New rotors you should jump on that one. It won't last.

By the way it is your boy Tom who is bored and wants to start trouble.

He's going to want a dog guard too, if someone has one for the LR3 to sell separately.

Josh, we just took in a 2005 black/black with 61k. We sold it previously to one of our favorite and most prolific customers. Florida truck from new...not on our website yet...using it as a driver....but will make it available to your friend if there is any interest.

Well it's official, he drove it back to NYC tonight and is in love. I recruited one of my friends to "the sickness" finally! The customer service at Paul Miller SUCKED, which was disappointing. They knew he/we were coming, but when we got there, he was with clients, told us he'd be a minute, then we waited FOR AN HOUR for him to return...turns out he brought a couple on a test drive, tried selling them a car, etc. Their floor manager kinda sucks, too as there were plenty of people who could have tended to us, or kept us up to speed on the situation. We had not yet driven the truck (it was "sold" last time we were there, but financing fell through), and although we had asked numerous times, it took another sales guy who I guess got tired of seeing us sit around, who brought the car around, handed us the keys, and told us to have fun. I left once the salesman was available, but apparently it took them another 3 hours to get their shit together and finalize it, even though he wasn't financing it.

Gustavo, they wanted $500 for the dog guard. I'll give you a call later this week to figure it out. Thanks!! If you have a pic, could you e-mail it to me? Gmail: joshua.oneill (or post her up here).

LR3 is a great SUV. We love ours. If it's possible, tell your friend to get the extended warranty. I'm pretty sure it will pay for itself and then some.
