Wanted; head

I know, I know,,,, Looking for a 200TDI head in good shape. Mines cracked between all the valves. Been seriously overheated by PO.

Thanks for your support!

Gene lmao... hope I don't mess up your wanted posting but it reminded me of a little tongue and cheek humor from a Halloween party last year...

Better get busy! That was a fun night. There were several bands who played that evening, one of the members was a percussionist and wore a costume that looked like he was in a gift box and on the front it read:

From: God
To: The Ladies

...another option for you!..

I realize it might not be on topic but here is a picture of a bald eagle made out of pumpkins.

Unfortunately your best bet is going to be either Ashcroft or eBay UK.

Yeah Dave, I'm waiting on an email from a fleabay shop. The private sellers so far don't want to ship to the States. Ashcroft does transmissions, Turner does engines and is out of stock. ALL the other LR suppliers,, Rimmer, Paddocks, Dingocroft, Brookwells, Britcar, LRseries, are saying obsolete, NLA. Still waiting on a reply from Craddocks. Going to start looking at the breakers sites today.

Turner is what I meant, not Ashcroft. LOL!!! I can't believe one one of our resident hoarders haven't coughed one up for you. Have you tried Zack (Zombie Motors) in Portland?

Gene, I may be able to help you out with the private sellers in the UK.

If they are only wanting to ship locally in the UK, or not even ship at all there are options. If they just package it up I can arrange to have it picked up, properly packaged for overseas shipping, and shipped to your door in the US.

Let me know what you are up against, I can make it work.

Dave,

Zombie was not on my radar so will find out Monday, plus it looks like they moved to Savannah, Georgia.

CDN38,

Thanks, I do have someone there I can ship to but don't know how well they would be at setting up a pick up, I'll keep you in mind

Rocky,

ACR only does exchange for good 200 heads, since mine is cracked.........

Yeah I've posted on 4 forums, East Coast, West Coast, D90, UK. This is the only one with any reply..............

I have found refurbished one at Craddocks for $1200+ shipping, One at a UK scrapper for $350 used unknown condition, + shipping.

Sigh..

Sorted

Today I ordered one from Craddocks, I'd rather pay the extra than buy junk from some Fleabay seller. The one seller I emailed never answered and pull their ad.......

CWsalvage has a used one but unknown condition.

Congrats good call.
I think this is a seriously bad development for all 200 tdi owners.

I don't have final price yet and I don't believe it is NOS, I think it's refurb. Prolly somewhere around $1200 w/shipping give or take. Wish I could afford 2.

For future reference we could supply reconditioned 200tdi, 300tdi and td5 heads, we ship to the USA all the time. We also supply crate rebuilt turn key engines and transmissions.

Thought I was done with this thread.............................or at least that I got one and the 109 was up and running. :v(

So I ordered the head, payment was accepted and a week went by without hearing from them. So I sent an email asking what's up

Thursday am, Them; don't have one, can't find one no ETA.

Thursday pm, Me; I was told they were in stock(sent copy of email).

Fri am, Them; Would you like to send your head in to get refurbished?

Fri pm, Me; No, not cost effective to send from Calif to UK. If you don't have one can I get my money back unless you have other option?

Sat am, Them; We found one needing refurbishing would you like to buy it for XXXGBP? Then we will refurbish for you. Refurbishing cost on separate email.

Sat pm, Me, still waiting for the second email on refurbish costs. I also put in a query to GlobalLR^^

If I didn't have bad luck I'd have no luck at all.
