Sort of. You (obviously) would need the complete 300TDI rocker assembly and injectors. Then custom bend injector lines. The completely correct way is to change to 300TDI pistons as well since the combustion chamber is in a slightly different location. People say they have done it without changing the pistons.

update

After sending and email to Craddocks on Monday they sent me the recon cost sheet. Funny the recon + the head amounted to the same $ that I already sent them. I declined the offer on Tuesday. I asked for my $ back, it came this morning thru Paypal.

On Monday I took my old head to the local welding guru and he's going to grind out the cracks and reweld it for around $40. Then I'll take it to the machine shop for new seats and stuff.

I contacted Departing90 and his lead turned into a dead end unless one wants a complete 200 located in Southern Cal.

I also contacted Julian at Global Land Rovers. We talked yesterday and he has a head which will be reconned in the UK in 2 weeks.

So it looks like I will have 2 heads for about the same as the cost of 1 from Craddocks.

Now which one will be done first...................or before it rains.

You called the shop 2 days after I posted up. I stand corrected! Next time ill make sure to turn away paying customers / projects while waiting on someone who's not responding!

Hey, I'll cop to that I did wait because I had another unresolved iron in the fire. It WAS MY FAULT, I was too slow on the draw. Sorry if it sounded like you were a flake, not my intention. Not everybody has $ to just throw around at a moment notice.

Long story short, I got my head rebuilt. I t still leaked. I was bummed and put the turbo back on anyway figuring I'd run it till it breaks. fired it up and no leaks. I don't know if it stopped leaking or I sealed it up better and now the oil is working it's way down the exhaust pipe. Time will tell.

Thanks all!

For the long version see my blog; Genocache: Putting on the 200TDI head
