Wanted '97 Switch/Radio Mount Assy.

I am looking for one of the center dash mount radio/switch mounts. I think they were standard on the '97? Anyway, I am attaching a picture in case anyone isn't sure what I am talking about. I know RDS has them but I was hoping to find one less expensively.

Thanks!

P.S. - Ade I hope you don't mind me pirating & modifying your picture!

Where would the white multifunction unit go if you used that center dash radio set-up? Or is that not an issue on an NAS 110 or 94/95 D90?
(On a '97 the MFU is mounted in that center dash box.)

Ade, did you mount a radio in the center dash of your LE ?

My plan was never to use it for what it was designed for. The NAS 110 has a complete dash unlike the 90 and it won't fit unless you converted to a 90 style dash. My plan was to modify it and attach it vertically to the front of my tuffy box to hold switches.

It was done by one of the POs of the truck...I assume. The Multifunction unit as you call it (houses the 3 square buttons for rear wipers, window defogger and window wash) was moved to one of the passenger AC vents. If you need a pic, let me know.

Hi Ade, if not too much trouble, a pic would be great.

Actually, the multifunction unit (at least that's what Mike @ Westchester LR called it when I had to replace mine), is a white box located inside that dash box on the right side. That's why the rear door switches are offset to the left on the front panel.

I like the idea of using that space for something other than the rear door switches, and was just curious what other 97 owners had done..... Yours sounds like an intriguing idea.

Thanks,
Garth
