That's pretty nice. Is there forum pricing?

Attached to the V6. It will be fine. It is not like the mid 2000s era tiptronics that had a common torque converter failure at around 60k miles, longer if you were lucky.

VW TDIs are fine but not free of issues either. Why not a Subaru Legacy/ Outback? The 2015 being released in June looks very good. My fine is trading her 2012 in for it. No issues after 25k miles. 31+ mpg on the highway. ~23 mpg city, which is a daily trip into DC so stop and go. Leather is very nice. Ride is very nice. NVH is very low. I have had 3 VWs and 2 Audis. I loved all of them but will never own another as an only car/ DD ever again.

Cool. Thanks Eric. Keep me posted.

We're also looking at 2012ish Volkswagen Passat TDI SE/SEL's, but haven't found any locally to test drive yet.

Buy new. Call Chris at VW langhorne for best price.

Any reason why you say buy new? Is it because of warranty? We're still in NYC, so the most it'll get driven is likely on average every 2 weeks or so, so it'd be nice to take a bit of the depreciation off of the top since if we bought new we'd likely only put 1,000 miles on it the first year or so and it'd depreciate like crazy.

Don't tell my girlfriend that a D90 as the only vehicle for two with a 60lb dog in NYC is impractical.

Used ones are not much cheaper than new.

You have a slush box? I'm so sorry ... Hopefully with some medication it will clear up.

Might as well bump it up. Also considering 2011+ Jetta TDIs

-Automatic
-Sunroof
-Heated Seats
-Black leather preferred, but not a deal breaker
-Don't need NAV, but the screen is nice.
-Black or grey exterior preferred probably. Can't stand gold/champagne exterior
-Moderate miles, clean carfax, documented service records, all that good stuff

If you see anything pop up locally let me know! I've found a few I'm working on currently.

Thanks!

I have a grey 2011 sportwagen no nav or sunroof and manual. Has heated seats. Has 7 year 109k extended VW warranty and is Ron level maintained (ie by the book and better and driven like an old man all highway 60 miles a day). 45k on it, going in for 50k service next week. Would sell for cheapish. Trying to prune fleet (I am down to six with RRC and lotus gone).

I thought she drove the defender? I get why auto in NYC is better, but I would not trust the dual clutch trans behind a VW TDI.
