Wanted: 1989 Range Rover

Even though this is the D90 source, I thought I'd post this anyway.

I'm looking for a 1989 Range Rover. Trying to find one with a decent engine, straight body, with minimal rust that runs and drives. Not concerned with the condition of the tires, suspension, or brakes.

I do daily Craigslist searches so I'm catching all those already.

Prefer CA, AZ, NV, UT, CO, NM vehicles as I'm in Phoenix, AZ, but will travel further to get the right one.

Thanks!

I don't have one for sale but I had one in the early 1990's. It was a white Great Divide edition. I did the urethane bushing upgrade and Bilstein shocks as well as wider tires on stock wheels. Really a cool car but still kind of scary when panic braking on the road as it tended to want to sway in a tank-slapper kind of way. It was also the only car that I had a full window tint job on because of the massive windows and inferior A/C system. If I were to look at a classic today, I'd go for a 1995 SWB. Good luck and have fun!

I like the 1995 too, but too many suspension changes on it and none of my stuff will transfer.

I've discovered that a few 1991 and 1992 Range Rovers were sold without ABS so I'd definately consider those as well as they have better A/C and Heating than 1989 and I think larger fuel tanks.

My search continues. I've been striking out. Either getting to them too late or finding more of a project than I want.

Chad i have a 1988 in LA that runs and drives well. LIfted with BFGs, safari roof rack, safari guard diff guards, skid plate. ARB bumper (bent) Wet Okole seat covers. I moved to the east coast and the truck is sitting in my drive way in LA waiting for somone to love it. Its got some trail rash on the passenger side doors . I havent wanted to deal with the hassle of selling it from a distance and its not worth enough to ship so i was going to donate it and take the write off. m in LA for next week only and if you dont want it im donating to charity.

Like what changes? Sway bars? The front shocks are different but you can fit the front shock in the standard location as well.

Is this truck rust free? How much are you looking to get for it?

Yes its totally rust free. Its been a So cal truck its whole life. I have no idea what to ask for it. Like everyone ive poured thousands into this thing but if i got $1500 for it and it went to a D90 member i wouldnt feel as bad.
